Okay something to remember for later so you don't get confused: all of the powers and appearances of the returned Orachion Seis are consistent going forward. This holds true for the manga and the anime. Also the reason for the strength boost is explained in the next few episodes.

The Oracion Seis didn't escape recently, the council only DISCOVERED they escaped recently. It's implied they escaped at some point in the seven year gap, left behind animated dolls in their place, and got stronger.

I think we have to remember that Lucy isn't exactly at her best in this arc. She just lost her father and this arc has done nothing but keep those emotions at the forefront. It's understandable she's not thinking clearly. You can however blame everyone for ignoring Makarov who _did_ realize something was wrong.

I like the fact that she got it wrong😂 I think it's hilarious when characters I don't really like meet my expectations with flying colors, and that doesn't happen very much😂

I really enjoyed seeing the oracion seis come back with brand new designs bc of the time skip. They were dangerous before and are even stronger now. Even the wind villain from the first arc didn’t expect to see him again.

Strangely enough, I enjoyed this arc more on rewatch than I did while watching it for the first time. Maybe it's because the pacing becomes less of an issue when you have the ability to watch multiple episodes in a row? Having to wait each week for the next installment felt a bit tedious during the first half of the arc. I think and hope you'll enjoy it more from here on.

I like this arc a lot because of the Lucy focus, but yeah the pacing is rough. It's twice as long as most of the canon arcs which doesn't help. Still, I'm glad you're sticking through and I agree with the Midnight thirst, he got way more androgynous and hot. Lucy and Michelle are very sweet to watch.

"Power levels" are absolutely the Achilles' Heel of Fairy Tail's writing. Its a pet peeve of mine when it comes to shounen, so I *struggled* to just put that out of my mind when I was watching this series. 😂
