There's a reason the Habs moved on from Juulsen (placing him on waivers, and losing him to the Panthers). He was a FIRST ROUND PICK who a lot of fans were very excited about, but after a few years of development, it was quite clear that he would not be better than an average 3rd-pairing player. I'm happy he's found a way to stick in the NHL...there was a time when it looked like he'd be a career AHLer, but he has shown he belongs in the NHL. But only barely (which is more than most people manage, so I guess it's still good for him...but it's not good for the Canucks).

The way to get the Canucks emotionally invested in working hard and playing well is the following. Every Canucks player with a contract that pays a million or more per year should be contractually obligated to pay $5000.00 into a social housing slush fund every time the team loses a regular season game. This will wake up the talent on the team, keep them focused, and provide an opportunity for some healthy public relations (i.e. giving back to the community).

I’m one of the biggest defenders of the refs, but that was such a bad call. The Montreal guy is skating right into him, should he just let him run into him? After everything else they let go I can’t believe they ruined a great game with a call like that.

Watch the video once more. He wasn't driving into him. Anderson was looking for space. If you are on the ice you'd know that. Hogg panicked and it was a dumb move nonetheless. Plus the call that gave Van the tieing goal was a soft call as well. I mean you can argue penalties and then argue asinine penalties. He put his hands to Andersons neck area, and pushed him obstructing his ability to skate since he didn't have the puck. If Hoff would just have stood without the pushing motion then it is NOT INTERFERENCE.

Not a huge error from Hoglander IMHO. It did appear as if that Habs player took possession of the puck and was planning to head to the net. Just unfortunate the player he hit didn't actually have the puck... as Nils probably assumed the previous player he hit wouldn't be in the position to retrieve the puck so soon. Split second decision.... if the other player did have the puck, Hoglander would be receiving praises on his defensive player without a stick.
