I’m honestly more upset\ disappointed that they changed her VA than the fact that half of the cast is still mute. I even pointed it out to customer service. Hopefully they’ll bring back the original VA.

Some VA simply cant come back due to contract issues. This happened in Star Rail to a lot of major cast members. Remember, Genshin no longer works with Formosa and now works with Side, which means we may lose some VAs in the process.

So... Am I the only one who found out Chef Mao has a new VA? I discovered the change as I was going through Liyue Harbor and when I heard his classic "try something new at the Wanmin Restaurant" line, I immediately noticed it sounded different. I've listened to that line for three years and now, I got to get used to the change

I think many of the NPC got replaced by Side Global, Genshin's new VA studio. Retaining VA after the change of studios is 50/50, some might sign with them and some are not.

Majority of the VAs are the same, the few that were changed are because of the VAs doing one of 3 things; retiring, cancelling their contract with Hoyo or in a few of their cases having some false accusations pop up that caused them to get fired (Tignari's old VA was accused of certain things but said accusations were debunked months later)

Also the contracts are THROUGH the recording studios, which is why Paimon's VA is at a different studio because Formosa refused to pay her so Hoyo moved her. It's not Hoyo that wasn't paying her.
