RMRW 1.0 2022 - Video 1
• Hardest. Week. Ever. 😅...
Thank you to IDIDIT Performance for being a parter for RMRW 1.0 2022!
ididit.com
Also a thank you to Quick Performance for great service!
quickperformanc...
The hardest week ever continued over the next couple days. We started out RMRW 1.0 2022... rocky. Get it?! 😂 But really. On our first drive day (500+ miles) we had a really long day with a couple small problems but ended up really getting to enjoy the pretty mountain views - it's always my favorite part of the week and so special! We got up the next day for Race Day 3 and got all kinds of maintenance done and got the new third member from Quick Performance installed. We thought we were sitting in a good spot. Until we weren't. The end of this video and day was a RUSH. It may not have worked out how we were hoping - but that always makes for the best stories, right?

Alex there is one thing about you that I admire is that you show the good and the bad but what’s especially good about you is that you never stand back but get in there and get your hands dirty. You are definitely not a Prima Donna.

Your father is an incredible man. The work ethic you two have is amazing. The way you two work together and complete a task show the people you are. My father and I work the same but usually it's him get pissed about something silly then myself having to deal with it. Doesn't seem like your father loses his cool too often.

As someone who know how to do my own transmissions. 3 things,. 1. Carry a spare transmission, 2 use Teflon rings on the pump, that will pretty much cure your pressure issue on the pump, 3. Put a external tilton oil pump for the transmission that pulls out of the front of the pan to a all-star oil cooler and returns it back to the back of the pan. Have it turn on with engine oil pressure switch so you don't have to remember to turn it on. Use it in conjunction with the normal trans oil cooler

So who won? In my book you and your Dad did! You might not have won the week but you won sooo much more by trying! That transmission hustle should be shown in every existing trades class as a masterclass in determination. That was an amazingly daunting task to attempt that late in the day!! And the friends you have to lend you parts and pieces speaks you you and your Dad’s character! Great video, rock on!!

I can fix most things on a car, but an automatic transmission is pure fkn magic to me. RPM IN > P.F.M. > RPM OUT. Taking on a repair like that, in the dark, in a parking lot, under intense pressure, is huge badassery!

I know that had to of felt like a swift kick in the gut but at least you tried and that's what matters most. Looks like you two don't seem to mentally "spin out" much if any either during the boxing match between human and machine. Gotta love the "tired sillies". Been there more times than I care to admit but the human brain has to cope somehow.

@64dougee
@64dougee Жыл бұрын
What I would do on a drag week type race is build me a box on the neck of that trailer that my cooler could fit in and build me a thick ass cooling radiators 1 for coolint and one for trains fluid and stack them one atop of the other with the cooler on top and flat fans between each one blowin down and a battery in the very bottom with a elect. pump for each beside it and flex lines for in and out with quick connect's on them sou could T off the line onthe car to the trunk! That way you could help cool both and keep the fluid and coolent at the top plus hook the battey to the charge points on back and you will have NO POWER PROBLEMS , NO HOT OR LOW FLUID PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANS OR THE ENGINE JUSTHOOK THEM UP AND HAIL ASS TO THE NEXT TRACK UN HOOK AND RACE! SO AM I A DUMASS OR DO YA'LL THINK IT WOULD WORK? I'M ASKING , LET ME KNOW?
