One thing I wish they touched on with Nighteye's quirk is that reading the future doesn't mean you won't have to do the action. Even if he sees the results of your research in his foresight, he's seeing the FUTURE. That means if you don't go do the research anyway, he won't see anything.

the sad part is, mirio made the right call by stopping deku from pursuing overhaul. overhaul's quirk is beyond powerful, and without knowing what he can do, pursuit leads deku and mirio to their deaths and then overhaul just moves eri, killing any chance of saving her. mirio and deku feel guilt over it, but it was the best option they could have taken.

My first time watching this season, I didn't really think much about what Eri must have been going through, but now it's all I can think about. First time: I was tense and anxious, waiting for things to unfold. Waiting to see how Deku manages to save her. Second time and onwards: Disgust, rage, anguish, tears. But also excitement. Excitement for when reactors get to see this arc and just how incredible it is.

I've never seen someone so set on the fact that nighteye's predictions can't be changed. It's an intetesting viewpoint cause most people I've seen side with deku's thinking.

I think his sight was basied on his personality Nighteye was very logical so too him what he sees is just the facts as he understands them not what could happen so he never could see a possible future where someone could beat a stronger opponent because logically its not possible.

Well because according to Nighteye, he's never been able to change the long term futures he sees. It's not that he's at a fork in the road and seeing information that allows him to make a choice. Rather, his quirk allows him to view time like a movie with fast forwarding.. The movie doesn't change just because he fast forwards

Yes, the more people they pull in, the more chance there is for a leak, whether intentionally or otherwise, or an enemy agent to slip in. But what choice do they have? They are fighting a pretty big and powerful organization here. If they go in with insufficient force, they'll lose both their opportunity to safe Eri and quite likely at least a few of their lives.

Big squad for a big op. I have to say, I prefer Fat's dub voice. A bit more relaxed and chill. Not full on surfer dude, but a very friendly laid back sound. Gangsters with guns that damage you on the genetic level. This SO comic book when phrased that way. But the details are decidedly more gruesome than most mainstream comics not of the dark age that was the early to mid 90's. Because only they were so tasteless as to make this kind of horror a regular thing to gloss over. See Youngblood #10 for example. There's a review of it by Atop the 4th Wall that handles the particularly distasteful subject matter as tactfully as possible. They couldn't have known the full details, but if they'd acted, they'd have hobbled Overhaul's plans then and there. Can we talk about how Nighteye is literally 2 meters tall? Sometimes going hard in the obviously artsy fails, (Looking at you, Arkane Ekko V Jinx 1v1), but the stuff they're doing with Eri and Overhaul works. Night Eye had to do a lot of homework for a 3 hero agency in tracking down the locations, and then tracking down who to work with in the target areas. Ehhhhh, SOMEtimes there is the problem of overthinking and getting lost in the minutia for the sake of caution when an immediate frontal assault would smash the enemy decisively. Consider how the paranoia over a lack of defenses caused a commander to dig in and trap his men in a repeat of WWI during the WWII offensive on Italy by the allies. When he was leading what was supposed to be a rapid surprise attack. All Might is retired from field missions. Sad to say, he's not useful here as anything but emotional support. For now, we need Tough Love that can fight. We warned you to bring tissues. Because we KNEW Eri was going to wreck. Poor, sweet, traumatized baby.

I'm still so confused by the way this episode worded the theory on Overhaul's plan: why do they think it's Eri's blood and cells in the bullets? Is it just because she's bandaged? They don't know her quirk, they don't have any reason to think she's the one whose blood is being put into the weapons. Furthermore, the way Nighteye presents the alleged relationship between Overhaul and the bullets is that his quirk disassembles things just like how the bullets disassemble quirks. That's already a stretch, but, also, wouldn't it make more sense that it's Overhaul's blood in the bullets? Why do they present this as "omg, it all makes sense now!", when it's worded as a series of assumptions that could also be made of pretty much any other villain group with enough power.
