When I worked at a zoo which will remain anonymous,these PEOPLE came in , the children if you can call them that had bows and arrows bought for them the type with rubber suckers on, when they went round to to the ape house the kids thought it great fun to fire the arrows at the monkeys,when they had run out of the arrows they went and demanded a keeper went into the compound to retrieve them, and when the elephants were taken out for their daily walk the kids were going up to them and kicking the elephants legs until the guy in charge went up to the parents and gave them a good shouting at which stopped them in their tracks he threatened to have them escorted from the premises! It seems to me, I hope I'm wrong, but schools don't seem to be teaching students about WWII. I once had a discussion with a lad who didn't believe that WWII and the genocide and Anschutz were real. I gave him a lesson. Told him to take a trip to Pearl Harbor, visit a WWII museum, talk to WWII VETERANS at nursing homes, VA hospitals, and places like that, it made him think. Whether he did or not, I don't know.

I've followed the Royal Family all of my life. Recently, I've been watching & reading more on the history & military, etc., which led me to this channel. Anything & everything that goes on there, we were glued to the tv growing up. Now it's social media, but we all shed tears with the passing of Queen Elizabeth, she'll always be "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth," in my eyes. Right, back on topic... Growing up in the southern U.S. I was raised with proper etiquette as well. I thought at the bare minimum everyone did their homework prior to visiting a foreign place to see what's acceptable & what is not. I was wrong! Who doesn't read up on the places they're going to visit?! With London being a melting pot of various cultures & different languages I honestly think it just has to be culturally based. What you & I may find proper may be offensive to those in certain countries & vice versa. I just have a hard time believing anything else bc there's such a large amount of people who are lacking basic common courtesy & good manners! People mistake the ceremonial garments as some sort of attraction, like that of a character at Disney World or something. Invading spaces, crossing boundaries, not following rules, not stopping when asked, touching the gaurds!! How would they feel if strangers just walked right up beside them, flipping hair in their face & leaning on them while taking a photo! The list is never ending!

I watched a programme on British TV last night, 23 November 2023, it featured predominantly the King’s Life Guard and the King’s Guard and their preparations for the Coronation of King Charles. It was fantastic to see troopers and guards close up and to see how hard they work, also to appreciate just how skilled they are. Additionally, we saw them in their operational roles, not just their ceremonial roles. I enjoyed watching them all standing in their ceremonial uniforms on Farnborough railway station waiting for the train to Waterloo Station on the big day, it looked so incongruous, as did the Blues and Royals trooper trying to walk down the steps in his very high leg boots…not very elegant😊.Regarding the tourists, I was very unhappy at the guy who deliberately stared down the horse; it’s a very aggressive act to an animal.

Just wow…..that deep crimson red of the trumpeters uniform with the gold gleaming, the rich colours of the standard on the trumpet, all set against the milky white horse in that slightly steely grey London light. And then the LifeGuards with those regimental red cloaks, just burning with colour against those glossy black horses. So SO gorgeous it’s hard to enunciate, it just GLOWS. Good point too about how calm the horses are. The thing is, most of them don’t mind the tourists….in fact when it’s quiet, there are several horses who enjoy being loved on. It’s when there are dozens of people, crowding and pawing at them that they get upset and that’s when you get ill mannered behaviours like hanging off the reins and rushing at the horses.

Really enjoyed seeing the trumpeter on that wonderful grey, and was glad the MOD officer was watching that certain religious group and I have not seen a video with them in it that they have shown any level of respect at all for where they are visiting or for the Guards. I’ve asked this before but I’ll ask again, just cos I’d really like to know. Why are the Hasidic Jewish groups like this? (Having said this the group at the box were very polite…..but they’re very much the exceptions)If there’s someone who is more familiar with them who could shed some light, preferably without knee jerk”they don’t respect us so I don’t have to respect them” insults would be great. I live in NZ. We have a healthy and lively Jewish community here but I’ve never come across the more “fundy” sects of Judaism here(not to say they’re not here) but I have seen them in England. I know they don’t mix with others and I know, like most fundy groups they think of themselves as “better” than others, but why be just SO obnoxious? And worse, why do they encourage their children to be just as offensive? I mean, in what way does that “glorify their religion”? Can someone help me get a handle on it?

From what I have heard Hasidic Jews, which is what these disrespectful ones usually are, unlike most others of Jewish faith, refuse to do any military service, and they supposedly don't pay any taxes, that they refuse to. Seems to me, if all others do, they shouldn't be exempt. But I can bet if its true, they gain something from it, like military protection, and money from their government. With all that have died from Hamas attack, its not fair as well.

@@zizu4952 I’m not singling them out, they’re doing it by their behaviour. This groups transgression was in the second video of the morning where they were mocking the Troopers and being VERY loud in the yard even after being asked by the police to tone it down. Also these aren’t the first of this group to do the same sorts of things. I’ve seen a large crowd(20 or 30 individuals) of them pushing right up to the gatesman(this is the trooper who is in the arches on the opposite side from the stable entry, right into the chain, ignoring being told to back off, all staring at him like an exhibit at the zoo and encouraging the children with them to do the same. I have seen them not once, but multiple times, enter the area under the arches, giggling like idiots when they were shouted at. I have seen a woman, throw her glove onto the ground in front of one of the foot troopers and expected him to pick it up for her. I have seen them being yelled at to get out of the way(troopers have right of way….this is a barracks after all) and then “marching” behind the trooper to mock him……and that’s just the incidents I’ve seen and the ones I can recall off the top of my head. Surely you can see that that behaviour isn’t acceptable and is terribly disrespectful? I have no problem respecting the beliefs and traditions of others but in turn, others should do the same in return.

My best friend, sadly no longer with us, was Jewish, and was born in an area of Manchester with a large Jewish community Pauline. Her half-brother is an Israeli Jew, and has visited her on many occasions. Every member of her family, and all the many other Jews I have met over the years, have been delightful people, very warm and friendly...and generous. I mention this because the Hasidic Jews in Manchester keep themselves to themselves in much the same way as the Amish in America. According to my friend and her parents, they are not well-liked by other Jews, mainly because they look down on them as well as on us Gentiles. The strong belief that they are "the chosen ones" doesn't help their image, nor does the fact they are exempt from military service in Israel. My only contact with them personally was in a hospital waiting room, where a young couple had walked in and demanded to be seen immediately. They flatly refused to accept that they should have to wait with the rest of us, and they made such a fuss that they were allowed to wait in an unused examination room, and then seen out of turn to get rid of them. They didn't exactly endear themselves to those of us who had been waiting well over an hour by this time. They made it quite clear that they wouldn't have even come to the hospital had it not been for the fact that their own, Jewish Hospital, has closed down. Their arrogance is what puts many people off them.

Yeah most, if not all the Jewish people I’ve met have been nice people, tho here as I said, we don’t tend to get the fundy sects and most Jewish families here are fairly “middle of the road” religion wise.That’s why this arrogant behaviour seems out of place to me in people that I know as being in general, kindly. But it appears like every group that thinks of itself as “chosen” (of whatever religion)acting like prime jerkoffs to anyone that isn’t “one of them” is part of the job description . Finally got to hear the trumpter! YAY! Love Invader's marvelous eyebrows! I've ridden off and on for decades, have read innumerable books about horses and equitation, and visit lots of horse websites, but have never seen eyebrow markings like those. His varnish-y grouping of white hairs between his nose and the bridle's noseband is also unusual. ("Varnish" is the term for similar markings, whether dark or light, on Appaloosas.) That second trumpeter's horse looks like a Lipizzan.

I've been to Melton Mowbray base while in college they have there vets there and if any horse surgery needs doing it's done there they also train the dogs for the services they also have all the drum hoses there as the stables are extra large to accommodate them I love the horses get rest bite in fields which are also used for a famous 3 day event show aswell
