The irony about this shoe’s story is truly interesting. This shoe is definitely amazing with all the details. But it’s kinda sad and funny how Nike is paying homage to local mom and pop shops back in the day…. And ironically it was Nike and other powerhouse brands that put them out of business in the first place. Dusty oxidation on the outsole and sail midsole… love the aged look.

New Jordan 1 OGs (produced after 2014) run big for sure. I wear size 12 in AM1s & size 11.5 in Jordan 1 OGs. If it’s just a regular Jordan 1 low or mid they don’t run big & I wear size 12.

These are better than the patent breds bc they are in regular leather. Lots of people don’t like patent leather and it’s less versatile than this. Bred version of these would be fire tho it would be dope if they kept it going on all the OG 1 colorways

I did the aged outsole look with a beige Posca pen on my Heritage and gave it a bred custom and also did the beige outsole on the mystic blue lows... looks nice.

I don't care for all the people who say they just want a regular chicago without the distressing. Trutfhfully, these are likely the last chicagos Nike release for many years and resale prices don't look too bad and will only go down by release time. Add to that the cool vintage story surrounding these, and I'll happily go for these, even if I need to buy resale. These are a crazy good sneaker overall, it's a damn jordan chicago high after all, even with the faux aging.
