I believe in the "before you sleep" video, we get a perspective of the humanoids and the brains self defense mechanism. Think about it, you're trying to sleep but your brain prevents you from doing so because it knows there's something waiting behind curtains and ready to invade the consciousness. The subconsciousness defends itself by not letting a human sleep.

I'm guessing that the supposed "6th stage" is more like a "deshelling process", as the skinsuit starts breaking down, it almost peels off of the wearer. So that's why it looks like its detaching in a way. 11:10 So basically (from my understanding) they take your skin and wear it, they get used to it, and after a while either the entity takes it off or the skin peels off by itself, then the process repeats. (getting the skin -> getting used to it -> skin peels off.)

My thoughts is that the “Killer” could be the boss or the entity to tracks humans and brings them to the chamber to be used or something like that, and the whole sleep thing could be when the entity most comes around for hunting so that they could use them as suit. But it’s been a good minute since I’ve seen this analog horror, I enjoyed it a lot! The concept is rlly interesting, like the chamber and window (still confused of the whole window thing) but I loved it!

For instance, at 22:00 the credits mention the use of the music "The Lincolnshire Poacher" which was the identifying tune and nickname of a Cold War numbers station. stage 6 seems to be either the skin rotting and melting like wax (like the lady's skin since it was probably used for it to be like that) or its either that it no longer masks the bloody smell of the humanoid and wears off because its now imbued with the smell so the entity wears it off on purpose. Another theory i just made is that this so called "Humanoid" slowly gets stronger by each skin worn, and depending on the skin worn we may or may not get different variants of this entity, like a two headed one where they wear a skin of a buried dead person, their head would crawl and slither back inside the skin and they use the original corpse's head to mimic in even better ways, i dunno but it seems likely for something like this to happen
