Mario Party 3 has a strange mix of some of the most technical and most BS mechanics in the series. The reverse shroom, Game Guy, Bowser being more helpful then you’d think, it’s certainly a pretty unique Mario Party for sure.

Chance Time is weird in this game. You can easily time it, and in some causes its even easier due to the 3 star steals right next to each other, but because the order is random, you cant always guarantee you get something.

Considering taking the repellent from eevee instead of brent seems stupid and cowardly on the surface. But if you take in consideration how brent plays, I can understand vern's position a bit more. Brent usually takes a personal vendetta against whoever screws him over.

Vern already has a reason to not go after Brent (remember that petty Chance Time to screw over Vern in 4th place?), and it's very early so there's not that much of a gap yet. Also the others already did gameshows where you just have to wonder why one guy was even included in the first place, why would it only be a problem when Vern does it?

What character development... Sophist almost wins a classic Mario Party game (on one of the HARDEST BOARDS NO LESS) and ties with Brent for a bonus star. Vern has now grown accustomed to Eevee targeting him and doesn't lash out. I mean, the game could've been Eevee's, but the only reason he lost is because Chance Time in this game isn't set in stone compared to MP1 & MP2.

I saw this from both yours and Brent's perspective, so I'm gonna be dead honest on this one. You getting the final Chance Time was honestly worth it for all the BS you've dealt with. From having to lose by a _single_ coin on _YOUR_ birthday, getting absolutely fricked over by Nick and Eevee throughout _90%_ of the minigames, INCLUDING the 2v2s to getting t-boned by Boo from Eevee's random pick - that one time in whatever that tree map was in Superstars felt _EXTREMELY_ targeted and toxic, I genuinely felt bad, this time out of every single Chance Time, Boo, whatever - you deserve it. To be honest, I can agree with Brent, he was so fucked. Eevee getting killed by the end due to Brent's fuck-up is rough, and I've been on the receiving end of whatever shit he dealt with. It was _so_ painful watching that, and I hope his sanity is still intact from this one. A happy 2024 to you, Vernias! Let's just pray you don't get fucked by Chance Time again this year or lose on your birthday _again._
