You are so right about medication. Of course it's more important to find what works for each individual, but for me, medication and therapy is key to helping.

Oh as someone with adhd that has never found a working medication in 28 years. I can say I'm in a part in my life where my intrusive thoughts are so loud and never stops I need constant sound I cannot sleep without watching vods I have no peace so I feel your pain.

One cool nugget of wisdom for anyone who reads comments and is going through ADHD executive dysfunction when it comes to seeking help but being afraid to take what is offered at the same time. You are proving yourself to be so much stronger if you are brave enough to accept help. Asking for help "is" hard, I understand that all too well, but if they offer and you trust them just let them drive you to the appointment, call the number to schedule it, or whatever the first step is, you will thank me later. It's no longer about just you getting help, it becomes about not letting them down, and you'll find the little push that obligation to your friend gave you will make it so much easier to follow through.

Yeah the voice in head is talking nonstop to the point I can’t sleep because it won’t shut up and if it’s worse than I can’t form a solid thought. I get through a bit of a thought then immediately it changes and rinse and repeat. I have insomnia AND I can’t form a full thought majority of the time. 😃 Yes I am very sane. *she says sarcastically*

When I was growing up I was on Adderal my mom took me off of it cause she didn’t notice a difference, then when I got older I realized damn I’m having more dark thoughts than normal……. I don’t like that. So I went to get “re diagnosed” and they were like “why do you think you have ADHD…… meanwhile my leg is bouncing a million miles a minute I’m talking fast and stuttering over my words………. Gee take a fucking guess😂😂. Ever since then I’ve been on Adderal XR (extended release) and I feel great…… still got dark thoughts but that’s what therapy is for.
