Derek was never given much to do in the OG series as it went on even though there was a lot of potential for him and Tyler Hoechlin played him well. But killing Derek off in front of his own son when a huge part of his characterization had to do with him watching his own family burn to death feels like Jeff Davis just hated the character.

From some one who grew up watching the show in high-school I can literally say they put little to no effort in this movie. It was a joke and they needed a traumatic ending so they killed off one of the best characters in the whole series. I'm disappointed in tyler posey for allowing this. The whole movie was so off and unnecessary. If they were to bring it back they should have put some thought into it atleast.

3B is to this day the best piece of YA TV I have ever seen. It shot my expectations so high up I haven't been able to digest a full season of any YA series ever since. Which included Teen Wolf season 4 and beyond. The only circumstance I can see myself watching this movie is being locked up in a CIA interrogation room and it's either this or waterboarding. I don't know how you make a 2hr and 20 minute movie feel like I just binged 12 episodes of Teen Wolf hating every moment. The relationships were all fucked, they picked the villain was shit, and the god awful dialogue. Every time someone swore it was like a 10 year old just learned how to say fuck. I started watching it because the main protagonist, Nina Debrov , i believe, is smoking. Then I ended up enjoying the show. Again, especially the early seasons. Later on in it’s run it suffered but early seasons I enjoyed.

I really like the Teen Wolf series. Its not perfect but it entertains me then and now. I really had high hopes for this film. I even Watch more than 100 videos of them doing talk shows through out the years. And on first five minutes it destroyed everything. I had to google the name to find who the heck is that villain, and i had hard time to accept Mallias' relationship in S09 cause they made Kira's relationship as a chance to Scott to move on but they forced it. so she stick with it. But no she's sleeping with perish and like What, say they brake up its easy and better than that plot. They just throw all scots character development through out the series and make him depressed. they destroy Alyson's fathers character. The plot was stupid and they killed of characters for stupid reasons. To me this movie doesn't exist. Like Percy Jackson movies and Legacies it is Just another bad nightmare. I'm seemingly one of the few people who don't think Stiles is the heart and soul of the show. I don't hate him but a decent movie could still be made without him so his absence never made me not wanna watch it. That being said, obviously it'd be better to have the whole gang there. Bringing the Nogitsune into it and not having Kira there is ridiculous, Kira was done so dirty in the show too but hey. Mind you, here they just had to pay her normally.. Arden Cho was legit more into the show than the creators it seems. Anyways, you raised an important question regarding Allison but either way it definitely cheapens her death, which was one of the most impactful events (especially for Scott) I hope the cast had fun but an actual fan project could've done a *much* better job i'm afraid

The show went downhill after season 3 but still had good moments in season 4-6. The movie however is a mess. @@SwiftNimblefoot what? No, it’s 3 movies. All the main books were adapted. The prequels won’t be but that’s because the 3rd one was bad and prequels naturally end up less popular more oft than not. And of the other 2 movies they’re fairly well regarded as very solid young adult fiction. Not on the level of the hunger games but still pretty high up. Whilst Teen Wolf and Maze Runner both have very small or even non-existent positions in the zeitgeist, the maze runner’s is stronger. Perhaps merely due to recency.

I give the teen wolf movie a 7/10 because I’m truly grateful To have Allison Alive again and to see all these characters only thing that made this movie not be a 10 was there were basically no character interaction between Scott and Liam or mason, Liam and mason they could’ve done more with them if the run time wasn’t as short We could’ve learned why everyone was separated why Scott and malia broke up and to be fair I actually enjoyed seeing malia and Parrish they got malia to be more vulnerable with him I do think if stiles returned they would’ve had more to work with on having characters interaction cause stiles was very very talkative lol and I would’ve love to see hikari do a bit more with her abilities and have had her and others do more to fight to nogitsune in the end like yeah Eli was being set up to be the new teen wolf but Liam should’ve helped more in the fight being next to his alpha

To sum it all up: this poorly written joke of a movie was just an excuse to bring Allison back and reunited her with her "one twu wove." Seeing as she was never one of my favorite characters, especially given the crap she pulled in season 2, I have this to say about her return: Meh. I have to say that i disagree with your assessment of the relationship between Malia and Scott. I had a feeling that they would eventually become an item, even back in season 3B. And I never, ever, EVER was a fan of the "Stalia," ship. Shelley Hennig's description of the way Malia would show her affection for Stiles is, quite frankly, problematic. Don't know what I'm talking about? Look it up! Lydia's reason for breaking up with Stiles makes absolutely no sense! It would be better if she said that Stiles was wrapped up in a case he was working for the FBI or that they parted ways because they'd grown apart. But breaking up with him to prevent him from dying in a car crash? STUPID explanation.

I admit this was a flawed movie, and yes, I do wish they had used Kira and especially Stiles in it - but what could they do when those actors refused to come back...? Not do the movie? I still like it for giving showing these characters grown up and responsible. You can see that they still live and breathe these roles, even years later.

Definitely a -10 for not having Stiles alone. I don't have a problem with them bringing Alison back (though it was handled poorly). I also don't care that Kira didn't come back. She just never interested me to begin with. Out of anyone, she was the most recast-able. When I first saw the new girl, I thought she was Kira (played by a new actress). Kira was literally just a replacement for Alison. The worst part of it really was that they just abandoned what was set up in the final episode.

This film was for the fans that had been asking for it, a lot of flashbacks for their memories and a lot of repeated things happened. The film was set in 2026, 15 years after the end of the series and Scott was 33 from 18 in the last episode. Dylan said the timing was off for him to be in it but may be in later ones. he was phoning TylerP regularly to see how it was going. The woman who played Kira lied, her role was for only 2 weeks of work and she was being paid more per week than anyone else. Styles dad explained why he wasn't there. If you watched closely you would have noticed Alison was young when she appeared but aged as the film progressed.
