That is amazing. Seriously. Can't believe your comment is not flooded by fender lovers. For me he nailed it in 50s. But a simple Mexican strat standard from back in the day with some decent pickups I'm in heaven. No need for the "Innovation" but I do like the history of fender far more than Gibson. They seem to use far far far more CNC and automation at Gibson now while charging 1k more or so. It's insanity.

@@timpierceguitaryou’re welcome. Honestly bud, after playing guitar on stage and building/modifying amplifiers for 20 years at this point, the biggest lesson I’ve learned is it’s about the time you put in learning to master the instrument. No expensive guitar magically sounds better than a cheap guitar in the hands of an inexperienced player. Only mastering the instrument allows you to appreciate the benefits of playing a more expensive instrument, which are mostly the ease of use. You are one of my very favorite players alive. You’ve studied them all, you can recreate the greats, but you truly speak with your own voice on the instrument. Kudos brother.

You just explained why I like my ‘64 Epi Bonanassa Firebird 1 so much, reverse headstock, on a neck through design, I just was after the different sustain qualities, I got that AND a perfect upgrade platform For $ 800 bucks new, I then invested another $2500, every original piece of metal on it has been replaced, Dunlop jumbo frets, PLEK’d, Bone nut, real Waverly banjo tuners, 3 SD pick ups with Stacked vol/tone for each PU, individual off/on switch for each PU, SD coil switching PU mounts, 4 sounds each. A JB bridge, the soap bar + Blade, (can’t recall the name?) and a Parallel Axis neck
