The energy of whatever people say, the groove of favourite worst nightmare, the depth of humbug, the lightheartedness of suck it, the attitude of AM, the eccentricity of Tranquility base. It is really fascinating how they come up with a concept for an album and how they take it so seriously from the lyrics to the aesthetics. I am open for whatever arctic monkeys brings to the table.

Best use of a orchestra in rock (or not too far from rock, anyway) to me is half of the album "1964" of French singer Miossec. I'd recommend "Dégueulasse" and "Désolé pour la poussière" for starters. If you liked those two, check out "Brest" (no orchestra but a brilliant song). It probably helps if you can understand the lyrics, but then again, when was the last time you understood anything that Springsteen was barking into the mic and you don't mind that either so just give it a go.

I remember being about 8 years old sat round my nan and grandads and they were laughing at Eldorado because it was so bad. First time I've thought of that since it happened probably! Anyway this song is brilliant.

Totally thought of Bowie when I heard this album. Just wonder how the fans of AM album will react. This album sounds more like Last Shadow Puppets. Got my tickets already for late August in Detroit and wondering how the energy of the audience will be
