It doesn't really matter. They could be bazillion in debt and people's lives will continue as no one gives a penny about a debt that people don't have. It's just governments, billionaires and rich families making you do all the hard work while they go to their vacations, buy planes, yachts and lands. I almost had hope with the whole "zeitgeist movement" but unsurprisingly... if there's no money to be made then of something in this system then slowly but surely it fades away. Furthermore, people today seem even less likely to take interest in something like the zeitgeist movement which tells u just how well they've managed to degrade society in less than 20 years. Query: when interest rates rise, the prices of present holdings of bondholders fall. Why would bondholders want interests rates rising, seeing this event will dent their present bond holdings? Unless the current low level of interest rates benefits bondholders (government/linked entities) in some other way not accessible to other bondholders.
