Did you mask any of the threads before spraying on the duracoat? Why did you choose duracoat over alumahyde?

@@michaelalfrey8290 I don’t tape except for the sides of the rotors wher the bail attaches. If you tape the threads will be a different color. I’ve painted for so long, & painting with the airbrush or small HVLP gun I have now is actually so accurate about applying paint that I can mist those areas enough to color them but not enough to get thick. Trust me I’ve misjudged it and had to either beat the bearing in or remove some of the paint. I use DuraCoat because it was given to me in the beginning and I painted my daily carry with it. I don’t bake it. I give it 24~36 hours to dry then I used it. I am hard on things and it stood up. No missing paint on the corners, just where the slide touches the frame but bluing wears off there. I’ve not heard of alunacote- I’ll have to look 👀
