My ST starter pack recommendations are Ascensionism, Aqua Regia, The Offering, Dark Signs, Take Aim, Sugar, Hypnosis, and Missing Limbs. Ok You’re going to get into a rabbit hole WORSHIP and I’m here for it 😭 Plus, as you noticed, their music is full of lust a lot of time 😎 they incorporate a lot of RnB (gospel too at times which makes their music ceremonial) in their music, the metal influence is pretty much clear (that’s what got me into them), the singer Vessel used to be a grime rapper (I suppose your heard about grime, it’s a genre similar to hip hop but from the UK) so he raps, sings, screams, everything 🎉

the thing you were feeling at the beginning, the "...not 1 to 1 flow" was actually a 6/8 time signature. there are interpretations of this that alternate between 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, and 6/4 in no particular, but most musicians feel it as 6/8. By the way, when you think of "1 to 1", you're actually thinking of 4/4. 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4 as the tempo. So 6/8, as compared to 4/4, is a boof-ass subdivision
