Something i noticed on third point, round 2, is that most of the fight Orisa is being double pocketed by Zen and Mercy and STILL falling over. Not only should this show just how much damage they're taking, but that ALSO takes away resources from an already low-healing support comp from the dps, making their job even harder.

Tank is such a hard role to play. I dont know how others manage to make it work. Being a good tank is hard. Some are too aggressive and die instantly, some are way to passive and constantly retreat. Getting a good tank to play with is sometimes hard too.

The hardest part about tank is recognizing ur teams positioning and comps and adjusting accordingly. Trying to match up ur tank to the type of comp and gameplay you’re doing is difficult as is, let alone when the enemies choose to become the tank busting speedrun team

It is not as hard as it looks like, you just have to sense the tempo of the game. But hey, if you have a shitty teammates it could be tricky, couple of days ago I lost a game on clash because my team just couldn't keep up with the tempo of the game, I played pretty well, but it was disappointing lose, especially when I manage to turn the game around, but hey, shit happens

Solo Tank is a role where you have to have the most game sense/knowledge, with no one else to cover. If you make a mistake its glaring bc everyone is usually focused on you(offense & defense)

Play to help your tank and they will be better, even if you are not support. Yeah some games it's just gonna be rough either way but I guarantee you any tank in an evenly ranked match is going to struggle when there isn't other pressure/people getting early picked etc. even if you're just distracting the other team for a bit it helps a lot.

Its not hard. Literally just don't be brain dead and you will provide insane value. Almost every game I lose I can point to the tank doing something braindead for no reason. Almost always involving charging 1v5 vs the enemy team or pushing all the way to the enemy spawn after a kill by themselves. Even if they are playing fine tanks always ruin it with an ultra low IQ play. And this is coming from someone who has had trouble ranking up as tank compared to other roles and has been baffled by why teammates struggle. I still think most games are ruined by just really, really dumb tanks. I don't know why "run into their team 1v5 with no cooldowns" seems like a viable strategy to 90% of tank players. I genuinely think they are the dumbest players in all of overwatch. Something about the role just makes their brains shut down completely.

The worst thing you can do against a mauga is let them shoot you without a shield. If you play rein, just become so annoying and hard to kill that the mauga literally just gives up his entire gimmick and goes for your backline. That's when you start swinging on him because he knows you'll just hold right click again if he tries to kill you.

This only works if their team isn't playing with him if they are tho he can just dive head first at rein to get a big stomp and get his team to jump you after him which means you gotta back off or die

Rein is not that bad into mauga imo, just shielding his cardiac is massive, the worst thing he can do is stomping u out of it

Maga is good against rein when your team is all snipers. I put pressure on the shield so he doesn’t always have it. Team let’s me down though lol

It’s only like the first 2 mins and they’ve turned their back to the enemy like 4 times looking at their team. I don’t actually play rien so I don’t know how to do it but they should look into that

So that was a feature made durring the april fool event recently but, appearantly it's now a feature. The feature to lock your shield while looking around which is just hold both lmb +rmb. It's weird and was never mentioned by the devs

It seems the main issue is having absolutely no sense of how much health they have and how much damage they will take from doing certain things. Lot of people saying that they are charging "too much" which isn't the case, they are just charging with too little health or going way too far.

Rein isn't even that bad into Mauga if you have a more pokey backline for wearing Mauga down before he gets to grips with you. Mauga has no defensive cooldowns, and Overrun is his only way of stopping CC, and using it can leave him with no escape.

Nothing like a tank who doesn't realize that the payload blocks los with his teammates. I just love watching my tanks run around the payload to wide peek for no reason and get annihilated because I can't see them. This guy really REALLY needs better spacial awareness.

Stop saying "Mercy Zen comp", no comp will be able to outheal them sending it or standing still in the middle of the open or taking cover for 1 sec and peeking after getting healed for 10hp. ​@@aegislight5996a lot of Mauga's "counters" like Zarya or DVA aren't even that good against him. Neither have the sustain he has, and Mauga can outpoke both of them at range. Meanwhile, Roadhog and Reinhardt can actually be really dangerous for Mauga because Rein can easily outshield Cardiac and protect a Zen/Illari backline and allow them to destroy Mauga, and Roadhog can hook Mauga when his Cardiac is on cooldown into his Team, or into environmental hazards like Ilios Well or Nepal Sactum.

@ I can understand that. I prefer to play rein, but I also know when I see a Ram that it’s time to switch. I’ve been playing since 2016, and at some point during OW 2 the majority of players started caring about their own enjoyment over that of the team. Go to town in QP, but the people who run genji against a zarya, Mei, and Moria in ranked ruin the experience for everyone. The game hasn’t gotten worse, the community has.
