Drew’s an “out early, back for dinner in the daylight” kinda guy. When it’s this dark at the end of one of his videos, you KNOW the fishing was good!

My backyard. Spent a lot of time down in that canyon,. fishing and archaeology. Discovered several bison jumps just a few miles downstream. The hill tops have ancient bighorn sheep traps. Spooky place to be alone before dark, lots of moose, wolves and grizzly. I always love that spring bubbling out of the limestone by that tree at (10:00). Used to be some huge fishing holes downstream in the red cliffs, got washed out about 5 yrs ago in a spring flood, there were monster cutts in there. I've seen several 22-23" taken in there.

Yes, the local we talked to said if we had been early season, we'd see more of those larger fish. We did see one that was 23-24". Amazing area for sure!

Great stream, wonderful fish, thanks for sharing. Was a time when my brother and I would spend a couple weeks every year roaming the west fishing. Your videos help me relive some memories. Who knows maybe two old guys will be able to do it again.

Drew, fantastic series. Love your videos. I’ll be headed that way this coming summer. But until the snow goes away keep the excellent content coming.

Great eats. In a way I'm envious of the fabulous fisheries you get to experience on a regular basis, in Idaho and Wyoming. Where i live just north of Atlanta, what trout streams there are are mostly stocked, as well as highly pressured. On the other hand, i am not comfortable in a true wilderness environment, so I guess it's just as well. I really enjoy your fly fishing videos.

I wish I could fish them on a regular basis. Living in south Arkansas, bass are my normal targets!

Such amazing fish, sipping little dries. I am just in awe watching this video. Can it get any better?

On that narrow road, how would you get out of there if another car was coming from the other direction?

Someone's gotta back up! Why I won't pull a travel trailer on the roads. There are pull outs but they are spaced miles apart usually. The logging trucks make it real interesting

What stream is this? What time of year? Great photography.

That place is defiantly a very sweet spot, with excellent action, I prefer north , gotta go more north! Looks like they fixed the road, a couple years ago it was super washed out bad, totally sketchy around those hairline bluffs, impassable from the floods of 22,, it was pothole city and washboard lane, then a total no go, I had to turn around almost got stuck, , that was not a good year for that region, I must of drove a 1,000 miles chasing one blowout after another, out of 8 weeks I only fished about 1/4r of time, ut masn o man it sure was super fun seeing all that country!

Maybe next trip I'll explore more of that area!

You definitely need to. It's very good. Get in it deeper, no one goes way back in it.The fishing's insane.

Great video, What fly line do you use on your 3wt?, also since Orvis just came out with a new superfine graphite do you think your gonna try it or stick to the one you have now?, thanks

I like their pro textured lines or SA amplitude infinity. I'm not sure depends on where I can travel this year but probably save my money for gas.

Hot diggity dog what a great place! What month was that? It looks like some of the vegetation is beginning to change. Thanks for sharing your experience but not your location.
