We lost cuz we failed to sub on Trent. The only great long ball passer 3 🦁 have. Kobbie played poorly & Kane was brave but his injured back held him back. Guehi caused the 2nd Spain goal via a bad long ball turnover & pickfords saves were very good but his passing long balls were poor. U can't win big cups with 34% possession. U need at least 40%. Spain extra day of rest & fresh starters in Defence after yellow card bans made a big difference in aiding Spain.

I would say it's more about the tactics than Kane. There's no arguing he's one of the best strikers in the world. Best in Europe last season with the most goals. The team needs to focus on attacking play, getting him into the box more often. I do think he had an injury this tournament, but if that was the case then he shouldn't have been playing tbh. With respect to those who thought the team played poorly in your view, I can understand where your coming from. But, for me anyone who either plays for, coaches or the thousands of staff that we never see who support the national team and it's player deserve our full support. As supporters we need to..... you know.......support them. Win, lose or draw. If we want the best performances from the team then we have to give the BEST support. I have been at to many games where so called fans who in all fairness couldn't run a lap of the pitch let alone play 90 minutes of high intensity sports.... criticise, in my view, amazing athletes doing a very hard job, risking their bodies and making enormous sacrifices just to entertain us. So some graces and be a decent person. For me our team and every other I have had the privilege of watching earned my respect. My team's motto is You'll Never Walk Alone...and that applies to all players who entertain us at home or away at tournaments like this. Yes I would like to see England win a major tournament, but that's not going to ever happen unless the best lads with English connections want to choose playing for us, knowing that they will be admired and loved, the same is true for the manager. I remember how Gareth was treated when he missed that penalty, it was shameful how some treated him and the same for Saka. It's to Gareth's credit that he took what is arguably one of the hardest jobs in world football and has done a better job than most in the past 40 years. Let's make our team want to play for us and you never know, that might just be the key to taking us that one step more.
