Gday everyone. Little update, my rear brake switch isn't working, explains why the rear brake isn't cancelling the cruise. There is also going to be a firmware update to make the cruise slightly less aggressive if you put it back on from a lower speed. If you want a discount, make sure you use my code OTBW on their website. Cheers!

Thanks for the information. Do you know by chance if for the update process, we need to remove the fuel tank or is there a way to perform it via the more accessible connector that plugs to the diagnostic port ?
@onthebackwheel4 ай бұрын
@@vincent2167no worries. I had a chat to Jackson and it is through the controller, so you'll either need a USB cable or lift up the tank again. This is pre production though so ones you purchase would have the latest firmware

I had to remove the tank to Install the OEM heated handgrips, but I was lucky and got the tank off with minor issues. I did struggle with that gas line but was lucky to get everything popped off with no breaks. I sure wish they had a prop thing sort of like supersports so you could do it easier. Can't wait to get this cruise control and replace my manual one. Thanks for the video mate. Cheers from Vancouver Island .

Long rides w/ no cruise control, can't imagine it anymore, my Tuareg has it off the floor, and I LOVE IT!!! Like you, I can't really imagine why all the "adventure" bikes don't have it from the get go, holding throttle for hundreds of miles is ridiculous. Watching you dig into the under bits cements the realization that these modern bikes are rats nests to deconstruct.

Thanks for your video. Before Cruise control was a thing, many, many bikes were manufactured that didn't have it. This provides a huge opportunity to fill a really gap in the brand and model ranges that were never made with cruise control. I have tried a few different types of mechanical throttle control/Cruise controls with none of them being as functional as you would expect or hope they could be. My youngest bike with electronic fuel injection is 23 years old. But does not have ride by wire throttle which I am certain would be necessary to fit such an aftermarket unit.

Thanks for the video ! The product description on the website indicates that using the front or rear brake deactivates cruise control. During your review, you mentioned that only the front brake deactivates cruise control. That means that either there is currently an issue with the product or they should update the product description.

Those scotchlok wire taps are bad news and a good way to ensure future electrical issues. Quote from the net "The wire tap is evil personified. The piece on the right cuts through a wire’s insulation, possibly damaging the wire strands within. A motorcycle’s vibration can loosen the tap and cause intermittent connection failures or just make it pop off the wire"
