One thing we've been hearing loud and clear is how many people are now considering other places to Mexico. We constantly find ourselves back in Mexico but for those who find that Mexico isn't what they thought, there's a whole world to consider. Watch the video to find which place we recommend a high quality of living at a lower cost than the US.

We moved to Mexico two years ago and it is soooooo much better than the USA that words cannot describe. We would never consider going back. Even with crime, inflation, population, etc on the rise those areas are way behind the USA and won't catch up. This is " home".

I am Mexican i am pretty open minded about migration and tourism, you guys are very welcome here. And though we are pretty weñcome to foreigners, some things you Should know: Yo mentioned the most common reason US people moves to México is due to low cost-high life Quality… well most people in Mexico have a high cost - low quality of life because business and rent and other things will follow trends.. here the average income per person is from $8000-$12000 pesos a MONTH (around $500 US dollars) and the average rent for a small apartment in CDMX is about $6000-$8500 a MONTH So if someone is OK by paying $500 + rent monthly , and also happens to invite and promote this, guess what will happen.. rent in that sector is going to increase disregarding the people that already live there who barely manages to live a modest-non luxury life , so they well now have to move or get a second job (most already do). So areas and things that originally were popular amongst the native population are now really expensive and/or exclusive.

Yes, gentrification is a naturally occurring circumstance. Geo arbitrage is a real thing and there is no defence in an open market. If you could find a way to live a better life in a less expensive area would you look into it?

It's happened in Canada, esp Toronto. We allowed 1.5 million in 2022 without proper planning wrt housing. We have a cost of living crisis and highest inflation in 30 yrs, and shortage of affordable housing. Unis and our gvmt allowed 800k foreign students....duing a housing crisis. Gvmt of Cda is woefully negligent. So if Mexicans are starting to feel marginalized trust me so are Cdns. Migration is positive so long as we are not decreasing the hopes and aspirations of the host nations' people. IMHO.

As Always, Great Video and content. You guys are so on point with your travel experiences. I currently live in Mexico and I am definitely feeling the rise in the cost of living. Mexico’s economy is getting stronger and stronger every month which in turn is causing a financial increase in all qualifying categories for Residency which is not as affordable for those, like myself, that are on a fixed retirement income. Mexico is a vibrant, beautiful and overall safe country with very friendly people, great culture and great food. Mexico is still a great destination, however, it may not be affordable for those receiving low or moderate retirement income.

Hola again Yarbros, i'm fron Chiapas and i'm loving your videos. I spent the summer of 2022 in Vietnam and Thailand (one month each country) and that was amazing, was cheaper than México, my homeland, and the security sensation is indeed different. I could enjoyed weed legalization when i was in Thailand and for that experience i really believe there Is one path for a better politics playground here in México. Its so nasty what Is happening with our brothers and sisters in their transits trough our country. I also travel to Perú in 2015 and It was absolutely gorgeous, definetly one of the best places on earth, but as mexican Is less affordable than southeast asia, for de divisas exchange. This planet Is beautiful, each country, but México has no competitor in variety landscapes 😅😂 sorry for my ethnocentrism. Greetings and muito axe

I’m on a SS income and I live here comfortably barring no emergencies. But I agree that the cost of living in Mexico is rising. I spent all day today watching Thailand videos and I’m obsessed. The temp residency in Mexico is steep in price, I’m going to try and get my residency this year, but I’m already feeling the itch to travel somewhere else. Southeast Asia is looking good right now. ❤

Great video. But like you said, everyone needs their own experience in living wherever they choose. I believe Mexico is still a winner, because of its close proximity to the U.S. and healthcare is still cheap there. Also, there are still areas in Mexico that are cheap to rent. Cartess, another KZbinr, just posted a two-bedroom for US$320 a month. With regards to racism, that's everywhere even amongst black people (I'm black). But I'm sure it's nothing like in the U.S., where you could be walking down the road and someone kills you because you are black! The U.S. has taken racism to another level that is so evil!

Love you guys for giving your real opinions! I spent a lot of time in Mexico and loved it but I agree that it is difficult to find home. Maybe that is a side effect of being the descendant of people who were removed from their original culture, land etc... I don't know. Many of us seem to be searching for a place where we can fit in and belong. FYI, I do not think those folks in the news clip came over for medical tourism. That story is fishy. They may have been looking for drugs. They have a history and women going across the border for a BBL go alone or with a girlfriend, not three dudes.

I really appreciate you being honest about race issues and I’m sorry for your troubles. As foreign travelers, we expect to stand out some, but it’s scary & sad to be targeted. A topic that needs some discussion is the "law" and litigation in Mexico ie. If you step into a deep hole on the sidewalk and break your leg or potentially injured for life, you are Not going to be able to sue that city govt or homeowner and get any money, etc & I remember someone had a car accident & went to jail before there was even a determination of right/wrong , if it is of interest to you to research,,,because Mexico is not a "Litigation Culture" like the US, snd people should know. There are other examples ie dog attacks on other dogs etc.
