I have very high respect for yoga institute. Around 35 years ago I took training in a few yoga exercises for my post operative issues. It helped me overcome all issues. Earlier my mother used to went there for her hypertension and it helped her a lot. Amazingly I still remember those exercises so clearly. At that time Sri Yogendraji and his son were there. If I recollect correctly it was then known as Institute of classical yoga situated at Santacruz East Mumbai. I still have a few books that I had then purchased. My very best wishes for all those associated with this institution.

Actually the winter she refers to is not as cold as in the true north. Bathing/showering in warm/hot water actually softens the skin, not dry it out. It also relaxes the body - especially for Vata types. So don't take this advice if you go and live in a cold climate - you'll likely discover the benefit on your own anyways.

This lady says hot water raises blood pressure while other doctors say it lowers it. At this point I dont know what to believe. I use to love to soak in a hot bath but I dont do that anymore after what happened the last time. In fact its happened to me twice. I felt fine while soaking in the hot bath until I got out of the tub. I felt like I was about to pass out and couldn't remain on my feet. It took about a half hour before I was able to get up off the floor. This happened twice but not back to back. It's one of those things that might happen and might not..so I dont soak or take hot baths anymore..just Luke warm showers.
