In ancient times they used to work very hard by using their full body for getting them own food...so they cool them by freshwater resources...For my thoughts May it's all reversed now so warm water bath may be help for blood circulation nowadays...it's make feel active throughout day rather than room temperature water

I will always use warm water in the winter. It gets to 10° F outside at times. I need to heat up. Catching a chill and getting sick is not good either. I put Shea butter or mango or cocoa butter in the bath and my skin is fine. Plus moisturizer after. Liquid oils are too slippery and greasy.

After we eat a meal our energy is directed towards the stomach area for digestion, according to ayurveda if we do things that require energy( like bathing, studying, intense exercise) just after having food, it hampers the digestive process (hence harmful for the body)
