I have not enough words to thank you for this practices. I have tried other practices and the way you conduct each pose breath without racing to the next one. Hey Aprille, good evening to you and your sweet babies. I'm sorry I am going to have to do this one again. Because of my liver disease I am always fatigue. It's number one on the physical complications list. And I hate it because I'm normally and have always been , before I got sick, a High energy bubbly person. Now I have to pace myself is what they doctor said. And I was falling asleep while doing this practice. Until I saw your sweet darling kitties and they pumped me up a little because I enjoy them so much. I wish I was there with you I'd wanna play with all the babies. Hello from the Netherlands! It's cold, windy and rainy outside. I feel like my body just wants NOTHINGNESS. Also I feel a lot of stagnancy in my body because heavy emotions want to come out. It's been a rough few weeks emotionally and I think many of us are feeling the tension in the air - the heaviness. This practice is about releasing those heavy emotions - grief, sadness, excessive worry, anger and resentment - by working to balance the Liver, Heart and Spleen meridians. Dear Aprille, I enjoyed your practice so much that I felt moved to write. I used to practice yoga while I was in school and pushed myself too hard to the point of chronic pain. After I did this practice, I was able to feel the benefits I used to feel when I practiced yoga, but from a place of greater acceptance and centered-ness (if that's a word). I was able to relax, let go and unwind while just feeling so grateful to have this body and wanting the best for it. And also just feeling the pleasure of inhabiting it! I just want to take a minute to thank you for your wonderful practices. I deal with severe anxiety and panic disorder. I dont take any meds and I've learned to to control the anxiety with yin. there are a lot of ways communication between my brain and my body has been broken, and an hour of moment-to-moment tiny microadjustments to a stretch does an incredible amount to make those nervous system feedback loops work again. and the cats make everything so much better when they show up to help.

What a lovely,beneficial practice. I really liked that you mentioned the liver heart and spleen meridians and how they run. My Acupuncturist does pay attention, as does qi gong Master. Thank you so much for this session! I broke it up into 20 min. sections in the morning and it was a great way to ease into activity verses hitting the floor running. I really appreciate your silence during the poses. I've noticed some yin teachers read quotes to fill the silence but I preferred hearing what's going on in my body over hearing someone else's voice. Thank you for that Aprille. Milly was very interactive with this one.xx Cant tell if that's Lucy or PJ but the love. At one point about 12 min in the cat has its head resting on your thigh. So touching.

Hello! Everything is about balance so if you are very active in your life physically, then Yin Yoga balances this. I do recommend people also get cardio, weight training and other kinds of yoga if their lives do not include activities that offer this. Listen to your body, review your present activities and decide if it is balanced. Thanks!

I woke up really late today because I guess I was just tired out, and since I didn’t have to take my father-in-law out to the hospital for his cancer appointments. Even despite the extra rest, I was exhausted, dopey and lethargic all morning. I wasn’t going to do any exercise but I thought why waste the quiet time once daily chores were done? Spend some time with Aprille’s soothing voice and relaxing poses (plus bonus cats of course!). Now I feel energized enough to take my dog out and into the fresh air, so off I go before the couch and my book siren call me too loudly. They will still be there beckoning me when we return. C’mon Charlie!

I cannot begin to thank you enough for your yin practices they are truly heavenly! I have dealt with autoimmune illness and anxiety most of my life and Yin yoga feels like coming home a place I can completely let go. I hope you continue to do more yin videos:) btw where did you get your mat??

You are welcome and I am happy to hear they are working for you (don't worry, I intend to keep making Yin videos forever as I LOVE it - and I also have 40 Yin practices now to choose from too!). It is such an amazing style of yoga - full of sweetness and healing. My mat is a Manduka Black Mat Pro squared. It is 78" x 78" and weighs 26 lbs so not for carrying but works great for a dedicated yoga space and you never have to worry about falling off of it. Super thick and great for knees (which is why I only use Manduka Black Mat Pro mats). Have a wonderful weekend and I hope to practice again with you soon online! Peace & Namaste, Aprille
