TYT backfills, and then act like they have been principled throughout. Cenk also has a habit of, every so often, saying what he got wrong in a way that amounts to a limited hangout. And then uses such incomplete, distorted admissions as evidence that TYT is unbiased. I can conceive of reasons why TYT does that in general, but with respect to this story, I don’t get it. They had an interview that really went off the rails with Gaetz a while back, and it devolved into Cenk mentioning Gratz’s issues (to use the mildest phrase) with underage women and Gaetz making fun of Cenk’s failed political aspirations. Yes, Gaetz doesn’t take corporate money, but that doesn’t mean he’s someone to welcome into the tent and defend. There are other prerequisites here. But maybe I’m too woke in my extreme position that the left shouldn’t work with pedos-whatever other common ground we might have.
