I am an Australian, but during the debate about what the political left's response to the Biden question should be, I contended that Bernie was the sole individual within the Democratic Party political ecosystem who had to REMAIN SILENT, why... while the rest in the Party chose to dissuade Biden from seeking re-election (...Biden did get the job he was literally drafted out of retirement to dodoneafter using him to destroy Bernie in 2020) with Bernie concurrently demonstrating his complete and active support for the Democrats presidential nominee. Bernie hasn't been forgiven by the Party or its voters for an "off the cuff comment" about a Primary challenge against Obama back in 2012 or for running against the Queen Bee herself: Hillary Clinton, who is both a spoilt brat & the same degree of narcissism that Donald Trump has, she also believes the Presidency was her absolute birthright. Why Bernie did it doesn't matter to them; all they care about is the perceived DISLOYALTY and UNGRATEFULNESS for a man who is nothing but a guest in their Party.

Pressure to have an in depth mental status exam, drop out, or invoke the 25th should have been started at about the 2 year mark when the president appeared to many in the general public, the press, and professional circles to be struggling cognitively! THEN, at the beginning of Oct 2023, Robert Hur, the attorney who was assigned to question him regarding the records being stored in his garage stated - to paraphrase- I cannot recommend charges because in the interview he seemed a confused, likeable, elderly man. For all those who didn't take action at the 2 year mark, THAT statement from Hur should have triggered further serious action! Harris would have taken over as president- the primary would have been opened- other candidates would have joined and there would have been a legitimate primary. Instead, of people trying to save their jobs and not caring about the US. They refused to remove him until it was too late to have even a short primary! A large number of electors from both parties are in dire need of being primaried in 2026!
