"Multiple police officers in Santa Clarita Valley, Calif., are under scrutiny after footage went viral showing them pointing guns at a group of Black teenagers shortly after the teens were allegedly attacked at a bus stop.
In footage shared by Tammi Collins, identified by CBS Los Angeles as the mother of one of the teenagers, on Instagram this past weekend, three officers could be seen pointing guns at the teens, who had their hands raised, as people could be heard repeatedly yelling phrases to them off-camera such as “It’s not them” and “It’s the other guy.”
Collins said in the post that the police arrived on the scene shortly after her son and his friends had been attacked by a homeless man. Collins said the man had initially approached her son and his friends to ask them “if they had any crack, then tried to take their things.”

All these kids are doing is changing a few keys on a spreadsheet somewhere that some bureaucrat is counting which no one else will ever see. Well, that and getting arrested with felony accounts being put on their records. Of course you don’t care about them. You won’t be the one in poverty the rest of your life because they followed the action of your rhetoric and got felonies on their records.

Sadly no longer shocking. I could see an initial confusion, but the refusal to listen to witnesses on the scene is disgusting. The drawing of deadly weapons is disgusting. Every time this happens the defense is "it's a dangerous job and they don't know if the person has a gun" Easy solution, people who are so easily scared for their life are no longer allowed to be police, after all, it's a dangerous job, we can't have a bunch of scaredy cats out there in danger.

My grandpa used to say stuff along the lines of: 'if you see someone being victimized (in an obvious way similar to this video), even by someone in uniform, you step in and defend them even if it means making yourself their new target.' Of course he was raised in a different time, and also had no tolerance for bad cops who didn't behave honorably, and hated racists even more. Had he seen something like this going down, he would have given the cops a reason to point their guns at him instead..

The cops with the guns were fearing for their lives because a couple of kids had skate boards. Making it even more dangerous is the fact that they were black kids. Makes me sick.

If one of those kids got frightened and tried to run away, they would have shot him in the back and killed him. Then a grand jury would find no evidence of wrong doing, and the cops would remain cops, and the kid would remain dead. Also, what happens now if the homeless man, who might be dangerously mentally ill, kills someone?

Homeless man was not assaulted, he attacked three teenagers with a knife, then fled the scene before cops arrive.

These kids just finished fighting for their lives against a grown drug addict and after surviving that ordeal they get guns drawn on them from afar by trigger happy cops thinking the kids committed the assault. These kids are very lucky to be alive. Smh
