We have given airline companies far too much power, even though we are the customers they have been given far too much authority and power by our government to pretty much do whatever they want. The shit airlines pull would put many businesses under, but because they are a necessity they can get away with about everything it seems. We need to remind them and show them we pay their asses, not that it is some sort of honor that we are allowed to fly on their little jetliner.

paberry007 I will never fly American Airlines again. They delayed us leaving SanFran to Philly in time for the ongoing flight to England. We knew before we left SanFran and they said we would arrive in Philly about 2300 be delayed 20hrs but would get us a hotel - I was travelling with my adult daughter so told more than one of the team in SanFran we needed two rooms and would need our luggage. You can guess what happened when we landed in Philly - 1 room/1 bed voucher, "nothing I can do" ... "we will get your bags off ..." 10 mins later "we can't get you're bags off" if the hotel hadn't had another room and I hadn't been able to pay I would have had to sleep in the lobby while my daughter had the room. BTW - we weren't the unluckiest, another English couple had to share a room with one bed - a guy about 45 and his wheelchair bound mother ! When I complained after getting home they wouldn't reimburse the room cost and gave me enough airmiles to get half a single flight back to US and then ignored all my replies

As an international traveller you generally just accept and expect that, on domestic carriers in the United States, you're going to be treated like shit. Why it's a news story _now_ as opposed to any other time is a source of amusement really. You know what would be newsworthy? A story on a passenger flying coach from NYC to IAH via DFW & ATL with said passenger making the entire journey experiencing no rudeness from flight attendants, no drama with the TSA and no desire for Xanax. _That_ would be a 6 o'clock lead. Save the 'told you so' Cenk. It doesn't matter which domestic airline you fly. Once you get your ass on a QANTAS flying outta Tom Bradley, you'll automatically understand the difference.
