The Matrix Revolutions brings back Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Ann Moss, Laurence Fishburne, Hugo Weaving, and other humans and machines to conclude the original Matrix trilogy in a way almost no one wanted. It left a bad taste in our mouth that we can only hope will be washed out when the Matrix Resurrections comes out in 2 weeks!

I liked the scene with the Architect. The perfect diction, the way he pronounces each and every word so precisely, but it's not forced or exaggerated. It's like a reflection of the perfection the program is trying to achieve.

I agree. Most people hated the architect maybe because they got lost in the words but I loved that scene.

I agree. I even like both sequels more than the original. I know I'm alone with this. Also, I intentionally say "both", because a third sequel doesn't exist......

The problem with freeing all the humans at once from the Matrix is they would all die off due to lack of food and resources.

So, i always thought Neo's powers outside the matrix would be due to his interface implants, like wifi vs ethernet, never something magical. The flying squid machines have it. The reason other people don't have it is because they haven't broken the encryption yet.

I always thought it was just because he was the anomaly. No one before him just ever TRIED what he did. Meaning stopping the sentinels with his bare hands.

I always understood Neo being able to see in the real world while blind, and being able to control the machines etc as evidence that what we think the real world is, is also a simulation. Neo isn't just the chosen one in The Matrix, he is also able to see the fiction that is the real world. When he meets the architect and realises the world he thought was real isn't, the story from the first movie repeats. Him being aware of the world around him being a simulation enables him to control it, just like that first time he had to jump between buildings in the first movie. He has to know it, and believe I'm pretty surprised you started to explain it as magic, I always thought this was the obvious explanation. But maybe I'm missing something, it has been a long while since I watched them

The "real world" is also a matrix is why neo can see the source code. Either that or the real world is just a separate portion of the matrix with some sort of dampening in place.
@r.daneel.90
@r.daneel.90 2 жыл бұрын
That should've been the plot of Matrix 4. The "real world" was just another Matrix for the people that were not happy enough with a calm and normal life in the 1st one. Basically, another map in a bigger sandbox. So, by being "revolutionary", those people are just entering in another fantasy world that accommodates to their perspectives to please them, but still a fantasy. That would've been really interesting, like the plot in 1984, wanting to join the "rebels" is just another way to control people. But yeah, of course it didn't happen. It's too complicated for today's Hollywood Remasters...
@Eagle3302PL
@Eagle3302PL Жыл бұрын
@@r.daneel.90 This also would've let them hand wave away so many contrivances they created, e.g. humans are a useless power source, Neo has powers outside the Matrix, machines never just built nuclear power plants, machines didn't just go to space, how is there no physical evidence of previous Zions, why the machines have a face god, why are they so generally inept, and many more.

I always thought of the train station as an interface layer from Networking (like a Router/Firewall) so basically the unknown external program Neo got quarantined and had to be inspected and released, lol. As for how Neo was able to interact with Machines in the real world an perceive them, I thought that it was like a Genetic mutation of the One and gave him a Electromagnetic organ of sorts, kind of like migratory birds have a organ that is basically a magnetic compass.

The UE5 Matrix demo doesn't require a super fast SSD like the one in current gen. consoles. As reported by Eurogamer and Digital Foundry, it uses 10MB per frame and the consoles only run it at 30 fps.

1:02 Sati is being smuggled to the machine world because she'll be deleted in the matrix (for purposelessness). I don't think it's confirmed whether she also wouldn't be allowed to exist in the machine city, or she just isn't allowed to travel to it (maybe as an extension of the matrix's rule - "you need to be deleted because you're purposeless, and we'll prevent you from trying to leave and avoid that fate" or whatever), or both. Actually, I think just very little transit is allowed between the matrix and machine city, for specific reasons, and they're not allowed to leave. Particularly, I think the parents' purposes involve them being in the matrix, which is part of why they're not supposed to leave. But the reason that only she is being smuggled at this point, and her parents aren't, is that the Merovingian's smuggling deal was only for her - maybe they could've paid triple for all three to leave, and maybe the Merovingian would love for them to "save up" and buy a trip from him later. But for whatever reason, they essentially bought one ticket for their daughter, and their daughter gets to ride the train. That part is simple.

Neo was 'jacked' into the train station when he was brought aboard the ship. He then jacks in officially in order to enter the actual Matrix and talk with the Oracle. That's why it shows them taking a jack out of Neo, they just didn't show the transition
@ericwoll

You guys read WAAAAY too much into the eyes of the oracle thing. The Merovingian was basically saying hey, go kill your most valuable ally and give me her eyes and I'll give you Neo because he knows they wouldn't kill the oracle since she is so important to them. It was basically making a false bargain as he had no intention of giving them back the only tool they could use to easily defeat the Merovingian.

The fighting felt slow, like they wanted to make contact to feel“realistic ” I guess but they didn’t want to hurt each other in the choreography but Jesus it just felt bad, I can barely remember the fights to be honest, I didn’t even get to the end of the film, the tower just felt weird with the exiles or whatever, they just threw em off the edge and they were done like what is this ducking smash bros 😂😭, and the blanking French guy. The Matrix is an excellent movie, Reloaded is not so great but still good. Revolutions make the past 2 movies infinitely better, it completes the story and adds so much to the lore. I love Revolutions. I always watch these movies all together in a day or two. When im done watching The Matrix i feel unsatisfied, i want more and by the time Revolutions ends im very satisfied with the conclusion of the story. Edit: Added a paragraph.

So, maybe I totally misinterpreted Agent Smith's monologue in the first movie, but to me his statement about the point of life being to end totally makes sense. In the first movie it seems like his goal was to die. He hates the stench, the everything around him. He really just wants it all to end. So when he comes back in Matrix 2, seemingly unable to die, the only alternative is to absolutely take over everything and in that way cause everything around him to cease to exist. Practically getting rid of "life's stench" by becoming the equivalent of the heat death of the universe. So, to him the point of everything is to end and he's the means to that end.

See, I actually like this one better than Reloaded. I just could have done without the Zion scenes all together. But I enjoy every scene in the Matrix and when they’re on the ships and go to the Machine City. The Train Scene is also one of my favorite scenes but then I prefer the talking to the action so maybe that’s why I like this one more than Reloaded

The end of Revolutions was a tie in to the Matrix Online game. Which extended the universe cannon, for example Morpheus died in the "Rumbaar water treatment facility". So players were those that have been able to exit the Matrix and then return to play as a MMO.

I'm not defending this movie because it's definitely not good, but the reason Neo has power in the real world is pretty simple. The humans that are part of the Matrix have a fairly large amount of machine tech in their head. Just look at how far the jack is inserted into their brains. A part of that tech is a wireless transmitter that the machines use to keep track of them. It's basically the same as the chips we use to track animals. Because of the anomalous code Neo had in his brain he was able to reverse the transmitter. This is also how he was able to disable the sentinels in Reloaded.

for me the logical thing is that Neo has no magical power, but because he has been coded (by the machine) to be the one, any machine outside (or inside) the matrix have an internal kill-switch to self-destruct if they interfere with him. when we see Neo's vision while blind, it's just his imagination, he's blind, he just thinks he sees... he can beat Smith because he moves around and speaks (classical villain trait) while fighting... echolocation and ability to sense movement is a thing for traumatic blindness. just a thought, the movie is very average, but to me the lore feels OK

People constantly misinterpret what happens in Matrix 3. The matrix is a cycle, like a virtual machine returning to a checkpoint, the code is green. When neo breaks the cycle by making a different choice "for love" (urgh) he gains the ability to see the gold source code. The source code is the code the robots and robot city run on. This is why he can control and converse with the robots in the real world. Not because he “takes his powers into the real world”. He can’t fly or bend reality. He basically gets a Bluetooth upgrade to allow root access to the machine code (which is entirely different to the Matrix code). The humans have all got machine parts and code inside them (the ports on the back of their head etc). They're not entirely human. So Neo gains enlightenment by understanding his true nature as a hybrid being and then uses it to strike a deal with the machines to kill their common enemy, Agent Smith, in exchange for a truce. Most people don't even realise Agent Smith doesn't work for the machines by the end of the first film. Also I think a lot of people subconsciously didn't like 2 and 3 as much because they have loads of non-white characters in pivotal roles, and it confused them because they're so used to seeing non-white characters be expendable and unimportant to the story. So whenever Neo isn't on the screen they stop caring. It's crazy how diverse the cast is for a movie from the early 2000s.
@RobVespa
@RobVespa 2 жыл бұрын
The majority of people who didn't enjoy 2 and 3 was because they aren't good movies - Not because they're stupid or racists. Your comment makes me feel tired and sad. Heck, the first film is overrated. It's derivative and the script is often just, well, stupid. It also hasn't aged well. Now, as always, YMMV and this has nothing to do with how much someone enjoys the films. Facts are facts. There are many essays out there on this very topic. Pick any of them. All this typed, I like it... and, as an aside, think the Ws best film was Bound.

I think everyone needs to just focus on the movies, not connect into the comics, the anime movie, or the video game. I feel like the storyline is super obvious to understand and anyone who wants to hate on it in 2021, clearly didn’t understand the movie in the early 2000’s and they won’t understand it at all. I have to disagree with all of the bad ratings. Matrix revolutions is one of the movies I’ll ever give 9/10. That being said, I gave Avengers endgame 9/10 and I also gave infinity war 10/10. 🤷🏽 in overall, I’ll give Matrix 7/10 and matrix reloaded 7.5/10. Reloaded was so long but I made it and I understood the lore now FINALLY.
