WELCOME BACK BABIES!
And welcome to the series Thicker, Longer, Stronger!
As you might know, I'm on my journey to waist length hair and everything was going extremely well...until I lost about 60% of the thickness of my hair! It was all bad. I still have yet to find out exactly how and why that happened, but I am now on a journey to regain my thick tresses.
In this first episode, I will be introducing the products that I will be using and showing you a typical wash day. I will also go over what I do during the week to keep my hair moisturized and also what vitamins I will be taking.
So please join me on my journey as I regrow my thick hair and continue to reach waist length!
COME BACK BABIES!
💕Dani

I just started relaxing my hair dec of 23 and I've noticed that I deal with a lot of shedding if I go too long without a relaxer. I love that you are doing whatever you can to solve the problem.

Hey hey 👋🏾 That’s so good that you were able to notice that. I really feel like maybe I shouldn’t be stretching it as long too. I’m doing 18 weeks right now, but have been since last year. I used to do 15 weeks back when I first started. I don’t know tho, cuz I want to get it professionally done but it gets EXPENSIVE 😩. Anyways… so glad that you are on track! Keep up all the good work and I’ll do the same 🥰 Thank you for joining me on this journey! 💕Dani

I love you guys channel and enjoy your relaxed hair content. I've been using Chris (Blowout Professor) recommendation for Morocannoil hair treatment. My hair has become healthier and thicker. My hair did not agree with the Pureology Color fanatic leave in so I've been using the Ouai leave-in conditioner treatment. Less split ends and I have been able to gain and maintain length. Cheering you on from the sidelines, you got this.

Please don't cut it. I'm 41 relaxed and I've been there. I noticed one of my issues was using a cotton bandana. Once I used silk bonnets and wraps a saw a big change. As black women our iron runs low. Get iron and a vitamin c supplement. Vitamin c helps iron absorb better. The first wash after a relaxer use a clarifying shampoo first followed by Olaplex 0 then Olaplex 3. This stopped the breakage instantly. Then, continue with your routine. If you can put it in a protective style (like corn row braids) for 2 weeks to let the hair rest and repair. Add moisture & seal with oil every couple days. I was almost at cutting too. Please try this before cutting it. It can be fixed! Good Luck!

Wow wow wow!! 😮 So glad to hear from someone in the other side of a setback like this! I’m so happy that you saw this video and left me a comment of hope! Thank you for telling us your stats as well. That really helps out and is also a factor in many things as well. I used to use the olaplex 0 and 3 so since I’m getting my hair relaxed this weekend, I will get it agin for my post relaxer wash day. I actually still have some no. 3 so I just have to get the no. 0. These vitamins are a win! Thank you for letting me know. I see a lot of women talking about iron and vitamin C and D. I’m glad that my new supplement has a good amount of that in there. And I’m also taking some iron supplements as well. You have encouraged me so much. It’s hard!! I’m glad to know that there IS hope on the other side. Cuz you know it gets really frustrating and depressing sometimes 😓 Many, many thanks to you. And thank you for taking the time to leave us a comment! LETS DO THIS! 💕Dani

I forgot to ask have had a blood test? My hair thinned out as I was severely low in iron and vitamin d. I take those now and eat more eggs the terrible hair falling out has stopped. I also use a pre shampoo bond builder.

Hey hey 👋🏾 Good idea! I was looking at where to get that done. I started taking my iron again cuz I found out that was taking it in June and that’s when my hair was REALLY nice. It seems like thinning hair is always related to vitamin D and an iron deficiency. I definitely need to get that checked out! And I typically use the Redken treatment before shampoo and I used to use Olaplex no. 3 as well. I just didn’t use it in this particular wash day for whatever reason. Thank you so much for all your feedback. I need all I can get! And thank you for joining me on this crazy journey! 💕Dani

@@naturallyrelaxed3 If I remember correctly vitamin c, d and iron work together. When you take your vitamin D you should take fat so that your body absorbs it. I usually take when I've eaten butter or cheese. Double-check with your GP as I'm no expert.

@@naturallyrelaxed3 One last think, I don't want to take up your time. I make green tea to spritz my hair when I use the bond builder before I shampoo. Green tea helps with hair fall and I drink it sometimes as well. Also any products you don't like don't use them on your hair stick to what works for your hair. I've thrown products and the shampoos I don't like I use them wash my combs and brushes. I am downsizing my hair products.

@LivingInTheShade don’t worry! This is the reason why we have this channel. To be able to communicate with the crew!! Every time I tried black tea or green tea RINSES, my hair didn’t like it. But I haven’t tried SPRAYING it on, so that could be a game changer. And since the green tea rinse didn’t work for me, I actually started drinking it in my tea that I make with the vitamin C and MSM and collagen. I feel you about just throwing products away. You get to the point where you know what works and that’s exactly what I’m doing right now. It’ll save me money in the long run anyways 😂 Yes, please keep leaving us comments! That’s what will make our community grow! We love it! 😊

Trim off 3 or 4 inches and use the Shea Moisture Manuka Honey Deep Conditioner. Pre-poo if needed with aloe vera gel. Shampoo with TGIN ROse Water Hydrating Shampoo use a light leave in if needed. Give it time and all things being equal, you'll like the result.

I'm along for the ride. I'm trying to do the same thing in terms of thickness. My length is fine. Yes please use clarifying shampoo once a month to remove buildup. Frequent use even if adding moisture may be the culprit. I'm doing everything else similar to your regimen. A claw clips with tucked in ends my new look! Shout out to family!!! 😊

I have a different opinion i think everything changed when you went to the salon..years back i used to relax my hair professionally and it started thinning so i began relaxing at home...i experienced shedding initially and then i decided to braid mid braids in which whenever its wash day i don't take them off i wash my hair with braids and deep condition it and later when its damp i rebraid and apply leave in conditioner and oil .. because its long and i realised whenever its wet it forms tangles no matter how much i try to detangle it and so far i have seen progress ..

Hey hey 👋🏾 Thank you so much for letting us know what’s been working for you! It’s always good to hear what others are doing. I actually tried washing my hair in braids a while ago to try and reduce manipulation but it ended up doing more damage than good for me. I noticed that my hair was thinner before I got it relaxed cuz I even mention that it seemed thinner before I went to get it done. I used to get it done all the time, and even when I would do it myself I would overlap and it still turned out nice. So yeah, I’m definitely thinking that it might be health related at this point cuz I’ve been doing extremely good for the past 4 years then BAM this happens. Anyways…thank you so much for sharing and watching! Please let me m ow of any more ideas that you might have. I’m so here for it! Have an amazing rest of your day! 💕Dani

My hair randomly started to thin and fall out as well after being very thick and long I’m at a loss on what’s going on and what to do. The blow dry professor shampoo suggestions for products is kind of expensive so after watching his videos I’m going to keep my Taraji shampoo and conditioner and add a leave in oil and I’ve changed my heat protectant. Hoping for the best

Girl I feel you!! I just uploaded a video yesterday talking more about my frustrations. I’m so sorry that you also had to deal with something like this. This ain’t fun. This ain’t it. And yes…do what works for you cuz those products are expensive. Shuu…when my hair was the thickest and most shinny I feel like was when I wasn’t using salon quality products. It’s crazy…just check out some of our first videos. Thank you for much for coming by and telling us about your journey. Keep us posted ok! 💕Dani

Hey hey 👋🏾 Humm…I’ve never heard of that supplement before. I just looked it up and it has really good reviews! Isn’t it crazy how you take such good care of your hair but the cause of shedding could be just needing a supplement?? I’m so glad that you were able to get such great results with this product! That’s awesome. I’ll do more research. Thank you so much for the recommendation and for hitting us up!! I appreciate it soooo much! Please keep us updated on your journey ok! 💕Dani
