Thieves drive vehicles through stores to steal dozens of guns

Police are investigating after thieves drove through a Dearborn Heights pawn shop twice and a Westland gun shop once to steal dozens of firearms. Authorities believe the crimes may be connected.

I was riding a bicycle at dusk with my little girl on a scooter on a side street, and a cop floored it over to us and threw on the lights. I stopped thinking the cops were responding to the house I was next to, instead he said he was pulling me over because I don't have a light on my bike, even though it wasn't dark yet. I’m appalled that these thieves didn’t stop to register those weapons. And I’m hoping they do the right thing with them… And I’m sure those AR’s will be grandfathered in! Because the senile guy running things we have now, doesn’t want Law Abiding Citizens to have AR’s. At least these criminals will have them… I feel so safe 🥴 It’s only fair, right? And Gun Shops should be mandated now to have 24 Hour Armed Secuirty. And the structure built like a safe. A lack of imagination and preparation on the part of these gun store owners in terms of who they are dealing with. The goal is to stay ahead of these damgerous mopes. Guns are like gold these days. For example, they should have concrete barriers built in front of the stores so cars can't be used to drive into the buildings for access. During the height of terrorism fears those kind of barriers were pretty common in front of public buildings.
