I could spend a whole day in a hardware store. Especially the non-chains, since the owners can stock pretty much whatever they want, which makes for some interesting finds. Love going shopping with you in the vlogs!

Thank you for your professional opinion on the medical grade skincare question. I either need to work more to support my skincare regime, or add more over the counter products 😬 I'm a 48 year old mom of three girls here in CT (my girls are into skincare already). Noticed my skin changing in my early 40s. Grew up at the Jersey shore. Just trying to slow down the wrinkles, age spots and crepey skin:( I recently found you myself, and love all of your informational advice!! I'm on a Dr. Dray video binge this weekend😉💕

I just found you about a week ago and I’m addicted to your videos. I am a sufferer of Rosacea and took your product advice and purchased Vanicream body cream, facial cleanser and the light lotion. I absolutely love them! I am coming off all of that pricey fancy stuff and Vanicream is working better and more quickly in smoothing my skin. Thank you!

Can you talk about hydroquione. I used the Obagi line for 18 mos with the Retin A and it got rid of all my sun spots. I was wondering your thoughts on hydroquione because I would love to keep using it as long as I can. I really love your videos ❤️

Hydroquinone, along with a topical retinoid are frequently used to treat discoloration with variable success. In fact the Rx cream triluma contains both ingredients, along with a low potency steroid, and is approved for melasma. Hydorquinone can cause significant irritation and should not be used continuously for long periods of time. Hope that helps!

Yes, I was tricked by a catchy marketing slogan just yesterday. I bought a box of "supreme MATCHA green" tea and later read on the back label that the tea contains only 2% matcha. RAGE!!!!!!!!! From now on, I'll be reading the ingredient list bc I refuse to be suckered again!

Cool stop! I've wanted to try Mason jar salads, but have read contradicting things about spoilage being speeded up or greatly slowed. You could re-develop & market skincare for a hobby in your extra time. (Duh.) No--but you could actually contract yourself out to do this if you ever want a break (which you won't).

I love Mason jars. I save all mine and you can use them for all sorts of stuff, plus by recycling the jars I am helping the environment.

I buy Mason jars by the case. We do can, tomatoes, pickled okra, etc. We also made dry soups that were very colorful with orange lentils and split green peas etc as Christmas gifts. Turned out yummy. You can use these jars for so many things!

I’m considering concocting (or attempting to) a zinc and titanium dioxide tinted sunscreen by mixing my Neutrogena Pure & Free broad spectrum with a bit of foundation. I use a chemical sunscreen SPF 30 for my initial application and yes, I’ve stepped up my game since I found your videos. I’m a pale (bordering on transparent) redhead so I try to remain vigilant!

My favorite places to go in other countries are hardware stores and pharmacies/drug stores! You never know what fabulous and unusual things you’ll find. A lot of which are totally unrelated to hardware or drugs.

My dermatologist recommended vanicream when I had a terrible awful rash and burns. When my skin healed enough I was patch tested. MI MCI. Boy did I learn a lot. Somehow maybe due to the steroids used during healing I developed an overgrowth of demodex all over. Soolantra on face and Cerave with SA on body has me now almost clear. I love your videos! Any suggestions appreciated! Maybe when they have bins they should weigh people upon entry and at checkout! People! Kinda similar I used to work on commission. It amazed me how people would waste my time knowing they were not going to buy anything. (Real Estate). Hey let’s go look at houses today just for fun. Like my pay fell from the sky! It was like “movie today or go run a Realtor all over town just for fun”! I think that is stealing too

Yep. They were thieves, all right. Oh, my gosh about the deceptive Roc advertising. Also, I've been meaning to ask you; you, obviously, take good care of your skin and wear no make up, except for mascara. Is this for a medical or protective reason or just your own personal preference? I would like to know what you, as a dermatologist, think of the practice of wearing make up. I am 63 and wear make up but only started to do that five or six years ago and I don't want to give it up! I use certified organic coconut oil to remove it but common sense tells me that it's only on there for a short while, as opposed to the make up, which is on my face all day. Would love to know your thoughts on wearing foundation etc. for twelve hours a day. Thank you for your channel. I'm learning a lot of useful information. 😀👌🏼

My derm suggested Vanicream as a low cost moisturizer to combine with my Retin-A. I tried to like it, but just don't. The second ingredient after purified water is white petrolatum which I prefer not to use on my face. It's definitely non-irritating, but to me it just feels like cream and Vasoline mixed together. I'll have to research their other products.

I forgot to mention a website for the Elta MD. I buy a lot of my skincare from Dermstore. They almost always have some kind of sale going on; generally 20% off. At Christmas time they even have 30% off. Plus, their shipping is free.

you may be allergic to chemical sunscreen filters (like avobenzone)...try zinc only sunscreens (those marketed for babies tend to fall in this category)
