Thank you. I always have rye flour and caraway seeds on hand as I've been making my own sour dough rye for a few years now. Now I have something else to make with the rye flour. These are so easy and delicious. The first time I made it I halved the recipe just to test it out. I just did the whole recipe and got the hang of rolling it out much thinner than the first time. Wow, sooo good.

Thank you for this exciting recipe. I have just over a week until we are hosting a big barbecue. I was looking for a rye cracker recipe to make some homemade crackers, and I think these will go over very well. And, you say they will hold for some days. (I will have to hide them though.) While I'm here, thank you for your Scottish morning rolls recipe. I was so hopeful when I tried that, and they are absolutely wonderful. My whole family appreciated them.

Wow that was a nice cracker! I had to bake mine at 355F for 10-12 min. Because my first batch cooked fast on the edges

One of my favorite crackers is rye crispbread. These look thinner and denser, but similar enough for me to give the recipe a try. I bet they would be a good base for a bit of tuna salad with capers and thin shavings of aged gouda.

We love crispbread, the sourdough is my favorite when I can find it, and I have been searching for a good recipe to make the rye version though.

Tried them today. Were too much spices for me. Tasted bitter. But perhaps because I only had grounded caraway. Smelled delicious anyway. I'll make them again with less spices. Really easy and fast to make. And I used only 1 Tablespoon Oil. That was enough. Thank you for the recipe!

Why is it "100 gr. rye flour, 100 gr. of AP,...100 gr. of water" and "1/4 cup" of vegetable oil?
@mellowfellow47557 жыл бұрын
I think it is because British people of a certain age were taught all of these measurements at school and rather than strictly adhering to a particular method, use whatever they find to be easiest
