when I stand in place and jump it's almost the exact same height as when I run and jump, is this normal or are my mechanics wrong.

3 years late but something is definitely wrong 🤣 you’re running max vertical should be at least like 5 inches higher than your standing

I really like the topic of this video because you could say I have "a natural ability" to jump. But I have a question about that. If I already can jump high will that take away my gains from vert shock? Because there's only so high you can jump, if I'm not mistaken. Thank you

Thanks man, the results our athletes achieve from completing Vert Shock vary from athlete to athlete. If you work hard and stick to the schedule, you should be very happy with the results!

im 6'9 thin, naturally athletic and was able to touch the rim with my head but after not really playing basketball the last 2 months (broken hand) i played again this week and wasnt able to really jump anymore... i was just able to do one footed dunks wtf happened i never trained my explosiveness before and ive been really slow an unathletic the last week. should i start doing jumping training to get my athletiscism back or will it come back naturally as i play...

Thanks Levin, just sounds like you're not conditioned due to lack of training because of the injury! This is normal and you should take it slow getting back into it. We have lots of tools for you on our website, but talk to your physician and get cleared before you start up a full training program!
