Beelink U59 16GB RAM. I have upgraded M.2 Sata from 512GB to 1TB and also put in a 2.5" 1TB SSD. Works really well, and silently. Fan runs minimally without cooling problems. Obviously not blistering fast compared with my gaming rig, but I would recommend them. Keep your expectations realistic and you won't be disappointed.

I got a Pantera Pico PC for use as a media PC with my TV. Performance to price is pretty excellent for the specs, but it simply cant cool enough quietly so fan is way too distracting. Silence is a must for any future purchases.

I got a Beelink SER4 Ryzen 7 4700U with 16 GB memory. Added a Samsung 2.5 drive (1TB). Runs great. The only time I’ve heard the fan come on is whenI do a system restart. Runs cool and quiet. My big complaint is the audio is just a headphone jack, and I wish they put it on the back of the unit.

Last week I bought a Beelink SER5 at a discounted price (AMD Ryzen 5 16GB) for less than £400. The purchase was partly influenced by your review of something similar a month or so back and honestly I am really impressed with it. I don't play AAA but I wanted to play BeamNG:Drive and Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator which my Desktop PC just couldn't handle but the Beelink handles beautifully. Yes the ingame benchmarks point out that the Radeon Graphics card isn't the best, but for what I'm using it for it will do me until I can upgrade it; and to be honest for the price I paid which is far less than Desktop PCs that have lower specs I definitely feel I got more than my moneys' worth. I enjoy your videos even if sometimes they're above my computer/spec knowledge and you might as well be talking a foreign language but for the most part they are very helpful even to us non-computer literate users. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and expertise.

I love the Mini PC but most don't have dedicated graphic card and can run hot. So when I want to play demanding games or certain games it becomes difficult with a Mini PC. I just purchase a gaming PC medium size and have no problems with heat and they play all the games if I want. It just determines on what you are planing to use the mini pc for. Thanks for the great video.

I have two, and no complaints…..I knew what my expectations were. The first one was a T-Bau MN25 with a Ryzen 5 2500U processor . (£284.68 June 2020) I added a 512GB 😊SSD and increased it to 16GB. The second I brought was Chuwi Herobox which has 8GB and I added an SSD. (£135.46) I just wanted something small, lightweight, to take away on holiday with me, using TVs for a monitor. Absolutely fine!

I am very sad to say that I was very happy for two whole months with my mini PC, a Bmax B6 Pro, had a 10th i3 and 12 GB of Ram. Had enough ports for keyboard and mouse. I've been using it for photoshop and some very small video editing. And playing some games on Steam, but nothing too extreme. There was a random blackout in my neighbourhood, first for some reason the ssd stopped being detected by the Bios and smart recovery did not work as adverstised. And after a few reboots it just stopped working. After this video I know understand what may have caused it's sudden death: cheap m.2 ssd and most likely heat that killed the motherboard.

I found it time consuming comparing mini PCs for price-performance-reliability reading as many personal/reviewer reviews but came up with certain requirements such as chip wattage, WIFI edition and performance comparisons. As I do not game, I do not need the absolute fastest but decided on a balance of features that would be well worth it and lasting (if the unit lasts that long). I have 32 GB of Ram, a Ryzen 4800U which is low wattage but has a ceiling of 105 degrees and seemingly decent reviews. It utilizes WIFI6 and BT5.1 and while WIFI 6e and BT 5.2 would have been preferred, realistically, I wouldn't notice any difference in WIFI and non of my devices use 5.2 or higher nor do I expect to have any in the foreseeable future. Only if you use headphones which are 5.2 or higher and stream Hi-rez music would it possibly make a difference, and that SQ difference would be debatable. So, I think I did fairly well for the price and hopefully I will get 3-4 years out of it. While I am not giddy about Win 11 intrusiveness, just turn off or deny as much as possible for data collection. It seems to work and only time will tell. But there is no denying the benefit of size in comparison to the behemoth boxes we used to use.

I picked up the Eglobal Cheap mini PC i7 from Ali-Express and a Rapoo K2800 Keyboard. I am extremely happy but it is Windows 10 and will only have support a few more years. That's the only downside. It has VGA along with HDMI and that's a plus in my book for retro gaming on a tube monitor.

@@johnbudnik4372 Yours might turn out to be fine but from this video things don't look very promising. I personally would look at an Intel NUC if you are hellbent on this kind of setup. Things should work properly straight out of the box, most people have not got the skills to do the tweaking to get it to perform to a decent standard. The end user shouldn't have to be faced with rectifying the manufacturers incompetence.

Very condescending post, there are people that buy mini pcs and know what they are buying and what ports do what, it’s like saying before you buy a car has it got an engine? Is there a steering wheel. There are a ton of mini pc posts out there and yes they do take them apart, if you buy a mini pc and find out it lacks a port you need then you should not be buying anything.

Considering its a laptop with no screen/keyboard/UPS these are pricey. Add in cost of adding ram/storage to the 'bare bones' kits & these look even more pricey. A second hand ex corporate laptop from top tier manufacturer (eg Dell) will give you 95% of the performance at a fraction of the cost.

Why do 99% of reviewers see gaming performance as the only criteria that matters? Even sub $100 minis that were clearly not designed for gaming, are evaluated on their gaming performance. If a mini can't run the latest top game at 4K at 120 FPS it is trash! Many of these minis are ideal for a wide range of uses.

The size is used an excuse for manufacturers to use underrated cooling solutions. Adequate cooling is possible for both mini PCs and laptops but it is not encouraged by manufacturers as it doesn't really sell a product with it's specs on paper. The cooling solution(heatsink) is the first cost cutting measure made to reduce both weight and cost. It's why we need actual reviews that differentiate the cool and quiet systems from the inferior(quality of life) products.
