He's actually pretty progressive racially. He wants people of different races to practice indian hindu stuff and be a part of india. Edit: The love jihad thing isn't a conspiracy theory. This is complicated because people of any religion should not be discriminated against, though id make an exception for extremists ( of any religion not just Islam ). Islam is one of them most hateful anti-everybody religions out there but that doesn't mean the people who par-take in it are all the same like the extremists of that religion ( or any religion for that matter ). I think this is some thing that has to be approached by separating issues. So separating the issues of discrimination based on religion (don't discriminate, that's good) and the issues caused by religion ( violence & hate, that's bad ) should be dealt with separately to hopefully be more diplomatic about it. I'm an anti-theist and i believe religion should all ways be called out on for it's bigotry, hatred and violence at every turn.

Man in this sort of thing it's hard to know who to cheer for. On the one hand is it Islamaphobic? For sure. On the other hand, if I'm somebody running a country, I probably don't want lots of Muslim immigrants because poor Muslims who aren't integrating well into your society have a higher likelyhood of blowing themselves up. Personally the Muslims I've known have all been wonderful and kind people. So I certainly believe that you can have kind and caring Muslims who are great friends and integrate well in communities. But while a lot of religions are older and have kinda accepted the niche between the spiritual and the secular, that distinction in Islam doesn't exist so well. In Bible College one of the books I had to read was called Christianity through Non-Christian Eyes, and there was an interesting chunk written by a Muslim writer who was basically like, "We view everything as Spiritual so of course we would want to make the culture around us conform to Islam." That's one of the really tough bits. While yes, Catholicism, Evangelical Christo-fascism, Mormonism, Conservative Judaism, even apparently Hinduism, all tend to want to control the state when you get a high enough concentration in that one religion, based on what I see it seems like Islam is the least compatible with a pluralistic perspective. Which, if you see yourself as an evangelisizing religion intent on converting people, that's a 'good thing'. But when you're a government that wants a peacefulish society where people aren't saying, "I'm going to do extreme acts of violence to get my way" Islam ends up being more scary to deal with. Ultimately at this point it really feels like humanity is kind of addicted to whole heartedly buying into belief structures that don't make sense and if left unchecked will result in tons of loss of life and human misery for no reason. And that includes religious beliefs and most political beliefs. I suspect the only way we'd ever pull ourselves out of that cycle is if we started really educating people on what narcissism is and recognizing cluster B personality disorders... but you'd just need a few narcs to parrot the language of the oppressed before you'd end up with a ton of bi-identifying straight chicks protesting in the street to free Weinstein.

So discriminating against muslims is a good thing because you think most of them have this inherent need to make Islam rule where they live?

It depends on the strain of Islam just like it depends on the strain of Christianity. Obviously, there are more anti-pluralist strains of Islam and anti-pluralist Muslims compared to strains of Christianity and Christians currently. @@Anti-CommunistCommunitarian To be fair the distinction between Catholicism and Protestantism is nearly as large as the distinction between Catholicism and Judaism. On one level I'd be interested in learning the differences between different factions of Islam, I know that there's Sunni and Shiite, my understanding is that most Muslims that are trying to move into other countries are going to be Sunni. And is there that much difference in terms of doctrine or belief? I know that there's certainly groups who are more socially progressive, but even those seem to be pretty regressive compared to most other religious groups. Like I don't know that I've ever seen an Imam on TV talking about how Allah loves everyone and then go on to condemn persecution of queer people. Like maybe that's a thing, but I feel like if it was left leaning news sources would be pushing that shit hard core because the rich don't care what you believe, as long as things stay generally stable. As I've said, nearly all the Muslims I've known have been chill good people who I have nothing against. So I get that there are Muslims out there who just want to live in peace. But it seems like even the most left leaning Muslim religious leaders would vote Conservative if American Conservatives didn't already hate them. I mean even look at what happened with that one town that had an all Muslim city council? Soon as they got power it went from "Oh we love our different neighbours" to "We don't like your degenerate pride flags and we won't allow you to fly them." Part of it could just be the fact that Islam is like 1300 years younger than Christianity and way younger than Judaism. But part of me honestly wonders if the core tenants of the religion just lend themselves toward exploitation by narcissistic leaders more than even Protestantism and Catholicism do. (To me Islam generally seems more prone to abuse than either of us, though certainly not as prone to abuse as Mormonism or JWs.)
