Modi is not like Putin or Erdoğan (or even trump) or any other dictators in the world. He is just a puppet of the Hindu nationalist organization RSS (Rashtriya Swayam Sangh), the mothership of BJP. That’s what most foreigners and even a lot of Indians fail to realize. Modi has no personal ambitions or agendas. He is just a very dumb puppet, an empty suit. That’s not an exaggeration based on political hate. RSS upper echelon is made up of Brahmins and its leader is always a Brahmin. Through their vast caste network, they hold leadership positions in all of India’s Institutions. It's not a conspiracy but actual facts published by the census on the caste of Indians in Indian govt institutions. But because they are only a small percentage of the population, they control the vast majority of the population using religion, as Brahmins are the uppermost caste, the priestly caste who created caste in the first place. They have managed to convince people from the mid-level castes and lower castes to work against their own interests, using religion. So if the Modi brand gets tainted or unpopular, RSS will simply replace him with another puppet. (Currently, the Chief Minister of the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, a so-called Yogi, is suspected of being groomed to become PM after Modi. UP is also known on Indian Reddit as Florida of India.)

At the most recent G20, Modi criticized Trudeau for not banning Sikh Nationalist groups in Canada. Trudeau responded by saying "Canada does not ban political parties." For those who aren't aware, Canada has the largest Sikh population outside of India. Currently there are 780, 000 Sikhs in Canada, making up 2% of the Canadian population. The Sikhs have been and currently remain a persecuted minority in India both by Hindus and Muslims. That being said, Sikh nationalists blew up an Air India airliner in 1985 resulting in the deaths of 329 people. Still the largest terrorist attack in Canadian history.

@Tera_Baap_Ka_Baap_Ka_Baap
@Tera_Baap_Ka_Baap_Ka_Baap Жыл бұрын
No Sikhs did NOT blowup the plane it was actually the INDIAN GOVERNMENT. Everyone always knew the Indian government did these type tactics from the past, when the Indian Government did the same thing before when they had been conducting a covert intelligence operation in Canada. This operation has involved the deception both of Canadian Security forces and of the Canadian Government, and led to one of the most horrific acts of modern terrorism-the killing of 329 people in the Air India Bombing of 1985. These are the conclusions of Soft Target, a startling, shocking book by Zuhair Kashmeri [of the Toronto Globe and Mail] and Brian McAndrew [of the Toronto Star]. At the center of Soft Target are Canada’s Sikhs. Probing deeply into the story of Sikh unrest from the early 1980’s on, Kashmeri and McAndrew argue that the Sikhs are the victims of manipulation and disinformation carried out by the Indian Government. With the aim of discrediting the Sikhs and undermining the campaign for an independent Punjab, Indian agents have infiltrated the Sikh community in Canada, fomenting hostility towards Indian and even provoking violent incidents. Along the way, say Kashmeri and McAndrew, India has also played a devious game with the Canadian government. In the mid 1980’s, exploiting the Canadian desire to maintain good relations with India, Indian Diplomats and agents directed a steady stream of phony tips on the Sikhs to the Canadian Government. These tips were accepted at face value by External Affairs and the RCMP. Some CSIS agents eventually caught on to what India was doing, but their political masters would not listen. Drawing on information from Canadian Sikhs, Indian diplomats and agents of CSIS and the RCMP, Soft Target is an extraordinary piece of investigative journalism. Teeming with characters out of a Le Carré novel, the book guides the reader through the byzantine politics of Sikh nationalism and the shadowy world of international espionage. In its convincing analysis of events leading to and following the Air India bombing, it shows who was pulling the strings and who was the made the fool... So sooner the other governments catch on to the terrorist tactics the india government does better it is for everyone… Also please everyone go online and checkout 1984 Sikh Genocide and see what the government of india is capable of doing to its own citizens, after the attack Sikhs decided enough is enough and decided they no longer want to live like second class citizens where Brahmin Hindus are trying to kill off all minorities including Sikhs, Christians, Muslims and others and trying to make all of india only for Hindus so let’s be clear.

This whole incident is a wild call-back to the '80s. The Khalistan movement back then blew up an airliner near Ireland, killing hundreds of people. Then Sikh militants occupied the Golden Temple in Amritsar, until Prime Minister Indira Gandhi sent in special forces, resulting in a brutal massacre. In retaliation, Gandhi's own Sikh bodyguards then assassinated her, prompting nationwide mob violence and pogroms against Sikhs. Hope we're not returning to those days again.

I also blame India, or at least stochastic terrorism fueled by the BJP, mostly because I have close to first hand knowledge about how the Hindu views Sikh activism. During the farmers' march back in 2021, my Hindu nationalist dad was watching videos claiming that the farmers who got in a scuffle with police near the Red Fort were Khalistani spies/agents, and my dad repeated the claims 100% seriously. It doesn't take much to convince a Hindu nationalist to murder a "Khalistani rebel". EDIT: If Canadian intelligence outright says it was an assassination and not just an Indian govt-inspired murder, it's probably assassination.

As a leftist sikh(socially sikh, but atheist) i despise relegious nationalism, so, i don't support khalistan but what Canada did was kinda fair, because what India did was obviously wrong. Even if I don't support khalistan, i clearly get why they want it, because you guys have no idea what Indian government has done to sikhs in the previous century, and these people are really scarred but it also kinda caused them to be extremists too. Indian government has littrally committed genocide against civilian sikhs in the past. And did even worse to those rural communities who fought for khalistan. There are really disturbing things in this. These Canadian sikh communities are mostly descendants of those same traumatized families. But still i am full in support of Indian constitutional values(they are very secular and Progressive). I don't like Indian goverment because you know exactly why. But i think Indians need to stick together as just people(not as relegion or some nation), i think Indians need each other more then anything. Most sikhs ofcourse don't have opinions like i do, there like some 10~20% are pro India, mostly urban sikhs. 20~30 pro khalistani, and others are distributed inbetween. So basically this issue is even more complicated then Kashmiri issue.

@@MrGksarathy About sikh militancy, if carrying lethal weapons is called militancy, then all gun owners in America are militants. Sikhs did so as sikh relegion teaches them to be armed and be ready to fight. Also that's a false narrative, that it started as militant struggle, it was mostly civilians struggle for Autonomy until Operation Bluestar (Indian army attacked Golden Temple Unprovoked), after that the real sikh militancy began. Even the top Pro Khalistani figure Bhindrawala said, (roughly) "we want our demands met, otherwise we want Khalistan." "We are not demanding khalistan, if they want to give us, will take it". Sikhs were arming themselves for long but it wasn't militant until BlueStar. But yes there were many smaller violent incidents though. Sikhs had a demand of a autonomous state, and they wanted relegion based administration and laws but centre imposed thier will and repeatedly rejected thier proposals, even when majority of sikhs were in Support of that. And meanwhile there were many incidents of Indian government getting people killed or jailed on false charges. The only major one before her death i know of is Operation Bluestar massacre where civilians got killed by Indiscriminate army firing. Though i don't support relegion based administration and laws, but forcing secularism made the situation worse. Indian government should had first instilled secular values in Punjab, and not just blatantly enforce them on very religious people. Also it wasn't that Indian Government was some sort of libral progressive force, It basically abused its power to devide people communally. Indian government was indeed very authoritarian and never tried to reach across the isle. If they were in good faith, they would have never massacred sikhs in the first place.

Have you heard about old joke from undivided Punjab (pre 1947). I was told this joke by a Pakistanis (Punjabi Muslim) It goes like this. "A massive storm is approaching a Punjabi village. The Hindus in the village see the storm from afar and run way. The Muslims only notice the storm when it hits the village and they then flee. The Sikhs only realize there was a storm, after the storm leaves the village." That old joke about Sikhs plays up their stereotype of being tough and hardheaded. Plus Bollywood has lot of Punjabi Hindus who often play up the stereotype about their fellow punjabis.

There is no need to isolate India as a whole, as we’ve isolated Russia or Iran. The assassination is the will of the current ruling party in India led by Modi, they could be undermined/manipulated by America if necessary. 3. It definitely isn’t necessary for Canada to retaliate in such a severe manner as those who claim this as an “act of war” would like to believe. This is one assassination on a Canadian radical that is considered a terrorist by India and a benign tumor to Canada. The disrespect shown here can be resolved behind closed doors

If the man was guilty of being a terrorist as Bharat has claimed, then his fate belonged in a court of law, not in the crosshairs of a gun wielded by an assassin or some vigilante. If Bharat possesses the evidence of his criminality, the proper way was to show Canada that evidence and allow the Canadian extradition courts to do their job. Canada is not only different from Bharat, it is also objectively better when it comes to protecting the rights of everyone within its territory as the latter has consistently engaged in state-sponsored terrorism against religious minorities.

Let's see if the BJP-RSS I.T wing trolls stumble into this clip. If they do find this, it's going to be hilarious & embarrassing as an Indian. By the way, just want to let folks here know that BJP doesn't rule any South Indian state. And South Indian states are the most developed in the country. So please don't mistake us for them. (If South India was an independent nation or the states' separate countries, we would be considered almost as developed as EU. Of course, we still have some more road ahead of us but we are definitely way ahead of the rest of the country.) By the way, Modi is not like Putin or Erdoğan (or even trump) or any other dictators in the world. He is just a puppet of the Hindu nationalist organization RSS (Rashtriya Swayam Sangh, the mothership of BJP.

Modi is not an empty puppet of the RSS, IMO, but is a more Reagenesque coordinator of all elements of the Hindutva movement. He pushes the concrete policy goals, and the others fall under his banner. Also, at least in the case of Tamil Nadu, the DMK and ADMK both suck and ape the aesthetics of Marxism-Leninism while being nothing but an anti-Brahmin party who want to redistribute the wealth to their castes. I'd say only Kerala has any right to boast about their human development indices, and they're the only ones ruled by an actual Communist party, even if said party is too wedded to the ghost of the Soviet Union. Finally, this sort of anti-Brahminism is just braindead conspiracism that actively harms progressive resistance to the Hindu nationalists, and it's also not particularly based in reality, at least not as much. Even during the colonial era, at least in Tamil Nadu, I read that the percentage of land owned by Brahmins was about equal to that owned by Devars, at least in the 20th century. Also, Adityanath cannot replace Modi as PM because he really is like the Indian De Santis in every way.

I saw a comment in your chat saying “sikhs are literally the nicest people” Yes, they are. And in india most of them reject the idea of Khalistan. As do most sikhs in Canada. Sikhs are nice. Khalistanis are not. Another comment said “Hindus hate Sikhs” - bullshit. Hindus and sikhs have gotten along very well in india for the longest time.
@mathguy97
@mathguy97 Жыл бұрын
That can be said for literally any group of people. The right constantly says, "Gay people are not bad, we are just against groomers", and then they label every single gay person as a groomer. After farmer's protests in India, hundreds of innocent people were branded as "Khalistani", and the entire narrative laid out by BJP and their supporters was, "Only few protestors have genuine concerns, but the majority were just Khalistani". This is literally one of the OG fascist tactics.

@@mathguy97This goes beyond the BJP. I’m talking about how millions of hindus and sikhs have had a long, rich history of living harmoniously together since the sikhs emerged in the 15th century. Sikh leaders and warriors even fought battles, defended Hindus historically and gave them shelter, so there’s lots of mutual respect between them. I can also say that as someone who has been around Indians and Indian families my whole life including in Punjab and Canada, the reality on the ground is very friendly between Hindus and sikhs, generally.
@mathguy97
@mathguy97 Жыл бұрын
@@cynicalidealist11 Did you forget what happened after the Indira Gandhi assassination? Innocent sikhs were hunted down all over the country. The picture you paint is a sanitized version of history where everyone was living harmoniously, but reality is a lot different. You are appealing to some vague past but things have changed since then. I do not know what "ground reality" you are talking about because my family was one of the families who aided sikhs from persecution. Sikhs had to cut off their beard and hair just to protect themselves from being killed.

@@mathguy97I think you’re missing that I wasn’t referring to the governments actions towards Sikhs. I’m referring to Hindus and Sikhs more broadly. It’s not a vague past, whatever you mean by that, it’s history. Sure there have been tensions, naturally, but I’m very certain that most Hindus do not hate Sikhs as that commenter implied. The ground reality I was referring to is the one I’ve seen my entire life. Seeing Hindu and Sikh friends and families intermingling, having mutual respect, both in India and in Canada. For instance, I am agnostic but grew up in a Hindu household and would often go inside gurdwaras (Sikh temples) with Sikh family friends and there would without fail be many Hindus in there as well every time.

This is a mix of goofy authoritarians messing up horribly because it was well known among their base that these sort of killings of Khalistan activists abroad and a bid to have talking points in the upcoming general elections. As an Indian I'd say this attack on the Khalistan referendum (Despite it's actual low popularity among sikhs) was last used by India's first authoritarian leader- Indira Gandhi and was again bought into light after mostly sikh farmers put up the most staunch opposition to modi since he came to power(Farm Bills Protest 2021).

I live in Brampton Ontario vaush, it's kinda the hotspot of Indian migration into Canada, and has been very involved in all this weird khalistan business. We've had multiple referendums this past year on khalistan independence, super weird to have that here, but whatever we have freedom of speech. The bigger problem has been the mixture of the pro modi ppl and the anti modi ppl, they're all coming here, they all fucking hate each other, there has been two, TWO, Sword fights within a five minute drive of my apartment in the last year. The biggest plane terror attack before 9/11 was sikh khalistani shooting down a passenger jet full of indian/Canadian citizens, yet now our government is fully on the side of Sikhs and khalistan, because our pm and others are unduly influenced by sikh money. It's a very complicated situation, but at the end of the day this was a canadian citizen murdered on Canadian soil by a foreign government, it's not a case for article 5, but it is for article 4. We need to put an immediate and Indefinate pause on Indian visa applications, and nato as a whole should start sanctioning India hard for this, they are turning more and more einto a fascist state and we can't allow them to continue unabated
