I thought the same when watching her LOTR reactions. I've watched a few dozen reactions to LOTR over the years at this point, and she is one of the only ones to pick up on many small details. She seemed to do very well at retaining the onslaught of names and terminology thrown at the viewer as well. And being insightful enough to not treat some of these stories as mere content to be consumed for entertainment...but that they have powerful, universal, and timeless themes. Great to see so much appreciation for great soundtracks as well.

It helps when you actually watch the film and focus on what's going on. Many reactors are more concerned with "reacting appropriately" and flat out acting, which comes off as fake and not genuine at all.

Dooku tells them everything they need to know to end the war/stop the sith etc. and Yoda just dismisses it without any thought at all…that’s arrogance.

Dooku is a Sith Lord named Darth Tyranus, he was Qui Gon's teacher and friend, like Qui Gon, he gradually became disillusioned with the Jedi Council and after Qui Gon's death at the hands of Darth Maul, he left the order, soon after which he was recruited by Sidious as his disciple, which he needed after Maul's defeat. Dooku, with the help of his influence, pushed many systems that were disappointed in the corruption of the senate of the republic, which was collapsing under its weight, to revolt and demand independence, as a result, these systems will become a Confederation of Independent Systems or an alliance of the Separatists. Thus, the Sith have organized a war in which they control both sides, having the ability to create chaos to gain more power. Dooku suggested that Obi Wan kill Sidious just to take his place with Obi Wan as his disciple, for this is the way of the Rule of Two. The entire conflict, which lasted for several years and was called the Clone Wars, can be seen in the magnificent animated series Clone Wars, which takes place between the second and third episode

I love the fight between Dooku and Yoda so much. Also, the 3 beasties sent in to kill Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Padmé are a reek (the rhino-looking one), an acklay (the one that looks like a praying mantis) and a nexu (the tiger-looking one). Fun fact: Samuel L. Jackson asked the producers if his character, Mace Windu could have a purple lightsaber, so he could find himself easily during the Battle of Geonosis in the sea of blue and green lightsabers...and because it's his favorite color in real life.

Even tho a lot of Ep 1, 2 & 3 were CG (sets & aliens) which took a lot of criticism, my understanding is much of Naboo was filmed on location in Venice, Italy. Someone may want to check me on that. CG or not, Naboo is beautiful. Also, costume designers did do their work!

If I'm remembering correctly, the prequels actually used more miniatures and real sets than even the original trilogy. The prequels just featured a lot of sets that needed to be augmented (or entirely created) with CGI because there was no way to properly create them in real life, like some of the scenes on Kamino and Geonosis. And a lot of the CGI actually does look pretty decent (especially when it's in the background, like in a lot of the Coruscant scenes). It's when the entire set is CGI or when looking at CGI characters like Yoda or the clones that the differences really stand out. In fact, there's a really good KZbin video called "Why Does Attack of the Clones Look Like a Video Game?" that explains a lot of that in detail. They definitely improved the effects in Revenge of the Sith, though.

Kahla your analysis about Anakin is on point, he has the gift and ability to be a great Jedi but, lacks focus, patience and most of all wisdom, and he's full of fear, anger and hate, which has been building up ever since he was a child and now, he's being challenge by the events in his personal life as well as being groomed by Palpatine. As for Padme' she's quickly fallen in love with Anakin, you ask when did this take place? From the time she was reacquainted with him until the time she thought they were going to die. What does she see in him? Good in him, along with other attributes, regardless of his no game tactics, to her it's game cause she's young too, they're only 5 years apart in age and both inexperienced about love relationships. He's honest and open about how he feels about her, and she low key loves this, even though she tries to resist, not to mention he's a bad boy which most so-called good girls like. Did you see Padme' dressed in that black tight revealing outfit showing off the ta ta's, she looks like she was wearing an elegant S & M outfit, she's seducing Ani, reciprocating, when before she was all covered up. Ani has mommy issues which overlaps in his love for Padme', he loves Padme' and eventually loses her like he lost his mom. Ani thinks having so called all Power with the Force, that he can control outcomes of those he loves etc. but, what he doesn't realize is that the only one he should be trying to control is himself therefore that's why he fails as a Jedi and man.

Given what happens in the next movie, I often wonder why he couldn’t just tell the other Jedi “Hey I’m married and I need your help” Someone actually created an alternative universe animation in which Anakin did that. The ending of that story was so danged beautiful for both Padme an a Anakin.

Great reaction! If you decide to watch the animation series (Tales of the Jedi, Clone Wars) you will see that Dooku is a broken man much like other Sith Lords and he actually wanted to corrupt Obi-Wan to help him but with good intentions.

Yep - the dark side is being used to cloud their senses. Mace Windu mentions it in this movie and it's more of a thing in the novelisations

Palpatine being the most powerful currently living user of the Dark Side grants him the ability to deceive everyone with ease. I think the only being he couldn't hide his darkness from was the original Zillo Beast in the clone wars series, he went after Palpatine specifically. I think Rex was close to finding out or atleast was able to guess Palpatine was Sidious when Sidious ordered him to execute the Order. Also Fives kind of knew I think. But whenever someone got close close, Palps either got rid off them or got lucky the problem handled itself

In retrospect it’s no wonder this was my favorite when I first watched it in middle school.. the messy immature romance plot was so relatable hahah!! Both anakin and padme definitely resonated way too much 😆 It was also the perfect age to get a crush on both sides of a couple and have nooo idea why (spoiler alert, it’s called being bisexual lmaoo)

Well in this Ep2 its been 10 yrs since what happened last time and now Anakin has grown into a teenager who looked like he was around 17 or 18 and Obi-Wan was his master who's gotten older too. Yes Anakin at the time had teenage angst and impatience but still had potential and Obi-Wan wasn't exactly like how Qui-Gon was as a master cause he sorta was being a little too strict on Anakin about the rules of the Jedi council and they were corrupt and flawed. Also Count Dooku was once Qui-Gon's master and what he said really was true and perhaps Yoda should've listened to Obi-Wan about that when he told him. Also that battle between Yoda and Dooku was very tight! I mean Yoda had some fast moves. No wonder he was the grandmaster of the Jedi order back then.

Because she must have fallen in love with him in seeing him, and this kind of feelings cannot be controlled even for mature people. In his contact, she just fell back into teenage years (which she surely did not fully benefit from), especially after another assassination attempt, and the pressure she has on her shoulders as a representative of Naboo. Then she knows that this is not what defines Anakin alone, since she knew the kind, endearing, courageous, disinterested and devoted little boy before, and she surely has this hope of seeing him mature in the right direction.

I really don't get why people pretend like Padmé is some epic badass girl boss. All she does is sit and smile while an emotionally unstable man-child rants about his superiority complex, that fascism is actually a good idea and that he committed small-scale genocide. And when it turns out that, after all those things he told her _to her face_ on multiple occasions, he fell to the dark side, she dies of a "broken heart". What a wet tissue of a character.
