My advice is do not swap the intake manifold. Ktuner did tests with this generation accord k24z2/3 and found that the stock intake manifold made way more power than any other manifold for a N/A setup. Most likely due to how this engine only has vtec on the intake camshaft. I had an 8th gen 2.4l as well, and my advice is to not waste your money trying to get gains. Even with a downpipe, hi flow cat, and a tune, you are only looking at around 25 horsepower worth of gains, and like 15lb feet of torque, which is nothing. Still a 10+ second 0-60, and you are paying for 91 octane fuel - not worth it. Only way your getting significant gains on this motor is with forced induction, there are a couple people who turboed their 8th gens on youtube. I had ktuner as well but ended up selling it, and the short ram intake will only make your car slower. There was a guy on youtube who had a 8th gen 2.4l, tranny was swapped with a 6 speed from a 9th gen civic si, had intake and exhaust, and the car was still slow as hell lol. So yeah in my opinion its not worth modding this platform unless you go turbo. Also keep in mind that if you sell this car, modded cars are worth less and are only harder to sell. I ended up buying a 06 wrx and it was worth it, especially paying for 91 octane.

Still love the body on these cp2's though, will always be a timeless design imo. And the v6 models aren't slow at all

Have you timed your 0-60 after the ktune?

7.5 seconds is my best run but I’ve heard around 7.3 seconds from other people with similar setups

That's a clean accord. Like you said these are minor part replacements for a 15 year old car.

If you want actual power out of this thing i would advise saving up your money and buying the k24z7 with tranny and ecu especially if you like the look of this accord thats the only real way youll make powersince the z7 variant has such a large aftermarket unless you go with a frankestine build and swap the head for vtec on both intake an exhaust which would overall be cheaper

@@maurobeltran3072 tbh I’ve been looking into 9th gen si’s for a little while ;) but I just love the CP2-3 chassis accords so much

Not sure if you can still get them, but I have some 17" MSW Type 77 wheels that look great on mine. I got them since they remind me of the HFP wheels from then

I've got a problem where my '08 Accord V6 EX-L is shifting a LOT while accelerating in D. I've tried replacing spark plugs, replacing the Mass Airflow Sensor, changing the oil and also serviced the brakes. Still doing the shifting but the spark plugs did fix a misfire in cylinder 4. I had an AC problem too but for me it just ended up being a relay on the battery. Do you have any insight as to what could be going on? Probably gonna flush the transmission fluid next.

@@alexweston5850 I would definitely flush the transmission fluid because I had a similar issue where my transmission would hold gears for too long or even slip and I change the fluid and it drives like new. Good luck man hope that helps!

here's a pro tip: EVERY vehicle by EVERY manufacturer since the mid 2000s is absolute and complete garbage. too many electronic gadgets and creature comforts is what killed them. buyers are more to blame than the manufacturers. i'm still hoping for the day people will wake up and realize what we have done......
