@@timtravels116 I see. I don’t know what her situation was like but my plan is to go company even if I have to go team get my 1-2 year experience in and then look for something better . Can’t afford cdl school so my options are very limited It seems either I get it from Swift or Prime are the 2 mega carriers that will help me get my CDL as well as give me a job with 0 experience

@@anamariagarcia4834 Yeah that’s fine. Just know what you’re getting in to. I got my CDL at Knight so going the company route worked for me and does for lots of people.

Prime flatbedder here -- can confirm, we're fucked. My fleet manager even admitted freight is terribly low and said "Don't expect things to get better anytime soon" Currently flirting with other FLATBED companies that run cpm because with a lease and the way freight is -- I'm working for the truck, not vice versa.

I had a fellow driver have pencil rod steel telescope off the back of the trailer on a side street in Bolingbrook and he got fired as he should. He was a 25 year veteran who got lazy and didn’t secured bundles well plus no bulk head against the back of the load.

@@dennisstorie4604 Not saying what? Read the comments. Just because one guy’s doing fine doesn’t mean his business unit is. Also, there’s always lag time on this stuff. Contracts are let on an annual basis and even spot market could take a few weeks to sort out. Ever notice that load numbers aren’t sequential when you run them? The sequence is based on when the carrier put it in their system. But it could be a load picking up in 36 hours or 36 days.

Prime built the tanker division off the previous refeer customers and the hopper division off the refeer customers

@@renesanchez2210 Schneider has hoppers? Schneider/JBH aren’t really just OTR companies. They’re truly logistics. They’re moving more boxes per day on trains than Prime has trailers. JBH has 100,000 chassis and almost 120,000 containers. Prime Intermodal is just a hobby. It’s so Robert Low can see Prime’s name when he’s stopped at a crossing for a train.

@timtravels116 yes schnieder has hoppers in their bulk division. Not much but some. Their yard is a few blocks from me and I've seen a few hopper trailer and a know a driver who claims she some times hauls tanker and sometimes hopper.

This is just a theory but I watch a lot of trucking vids. I've been thinking of getting my cdls. But I think they give y'all guys that make content a hard time if you ruffle feathers in the industry. My brother has been a driver for a long time and he said these brokers are friends with carriers and carriers are brokers and wearhouses are brokers and dispatchers and they all do business with each other and make money on the side. He said that you have to watch the dispatchers that work for carriers but own trucks and have people drive for them
