Things don't go quite to plan...again!

Hi, we are Bec, Sam, Isabella & Euan. After selling our house in the UK & travelling Europe in a motorhome for 10 months, we have bought a derelict stone cottage in Ireland. We are keen to try and live an off grid life, free from debt whilst bringing the farm back to its former glory. We are doing this on a very tight budget and plan on doing the work ourselves.

Always enjoy the continuing progress from Ireland. Here in San Jose, California, it's currently 12:40 a.m. and still over 70 F (21C) so it's a bit comforting to see clouds and folks in jackets. The kitten is adorable and seems to enjoy the view from Euan's shoulder. All your animals are wonderful and what a nice, generous friend you have in Adam.

Taking down that unstable wall will make pouring the concreet slab so much easier and faster. All the rubble you dug out could be perhaps be used to make some kind of windbreak in the garden to help with those strong prevailing winds you get.
