A lot of us also had the overleveled starter to carry us through most of the game! - Running out of Repels while in the middle of a cave - Catching that one cool-looking Pokemon that turns out to be quite underwhelming in battle - Having 4 offensive moves on every Pokemon - Spamming the signature move of the legendaries you caught - Hatching a random egg given by a NPC just to box the Pokemon and never use it - Speak every day to the man in Mossdeep City to have enough rocket launches and maybe go to the moon to meet Deoxys or Jirachi

That third one was Tinkaton for me. She did good in the playthrough but looking at that 75 Attack stat will never not bother me. Guess it's good we don't have another Fairy/Steel demon running around. Another one was Orbeetle. Dude was never useful when I needed him but I loved him so much especially as a Dottler I couldn't take him off.

3:30 I think it's pretty genius what they did with the Gen 7 fire starter, they picked a design that looked like it would be fire-fighting and so when the sketches leaked, everyone assumed it would be fire-fighting and got annoyed... And then they revealed it to be a fire-dark who was a heel wrestler! So people were *meant* to be angry at it! They managed to use fan-reactions to epitomise heel-heat.

I'll throw in some more for funsies: - Saving the game twice because you aren't sure if you saved it the first time or not - Accidentally passing the Poketch app you wanted in DP/BDSP and having to cycle through the ENTIRE app list again - Learning to identify a Pokemon's cry in written form i.e. DELELE DELELE WOOO or WII U WII U - Knowing Alt+130 and Alt+144 by heart to type "Pokémon" and "POKÉMON" correctly :3

Saying that your enemy won't get a critical hit and them the crit happens. See, 1/16 sounds like low probability but when your team members take dozens or hundreds of hits during a playthrough, it makes sense why. That 1/16 is being calculated for every single move used.

Litten was originally my favorite of the Alola Starters, but I hate Incineroar, so I picked Popplio instead, since I thought it looked cute, too, and I love Primarina. -Picked a starter and then ended up hating its evolution. Yup. Delphox. It was such a cute fox thing and I had deliberately stayed away from checking out any of the starter evolution lines, so I wouldn't know what they turned into. Regret was felt that day. -Polished all badges Ofcourse. Before every Gym Leader, before every rival fight, before the Champion fight and sometimes just for shits and giggles. I like to imagine I blind my opponent with their bling before and after the battle, like I'm early season 1 Ash, bragging about his two dubiously earned badges. -Called out Gamefreak for their unoriginal Pokémon design. Surprisingly, no. I have not done this one, because every time that topic comes up, the words Geodude (a literal pebble with arms, eyes and a mouth), Zubat (it's just a bat) and Voltorb (It's just a pokéball with eyes) come to mind. There are many more examples in Gen I, but those are the three that first come to my mind. -Taking advantage of Premier Ball bonuses by buying exactly 10 Pokéball. Yup. Not just that, but one time, I was a little bit short on cash to get the full ten after starting a new game, so I went out to find another trainer to fight, before I returned to make my purchase. I will NOT be denied my Premier Ball, dammit! -Text speed to fast. It's a must. Literally the first change I make upon starting a new game. Before anything else, before even taking a single step, this is my first action. Immediately followed by creating my save file, before starting the game proper. -Theme song. I mean... it is a banger, filled with incredible nostalgia and memories of simple days. I'm only human...

My experience : - catch pokemon only for HM (except for surf and strenght) - only use healing item after battle - look for pokemon in specific route that i thought strong. (Such as tropius) - try to search feebas in pokemon emerald. - in emerald, I ignore rayquaza after the cutscene. Since i thought i only can catch it after pokemon league. - never run away from wild pokemon. (I don't even know about EV before) - always have linoone in the team in pokemon RSE. (It even help me to defeat phoebe) - always choose oshawott in BW/BW2. - electric pokemon must be in the team. (I remember i frustate to defeat gyarados because no electric pokemon in my team.)

As a little kid playing Pokémon, when I first saw Mawile in Battle Revolution, I honestly thought it was a Grass type. The fact it was weak to the Rental Monferno's Fire Punch only cemented that for me... I didn't end up learning it was a Steel type until it got the Fairy type in Gen 6 XD

1. I’m proud to say that I’ve never been someone to claim that Pokemon is running out of ideas. I understood pretty early on that anything and everything could be made into a Pokémon. All it takes is imagination. It gels with me very well, probably because it’s kind of how I’d always played with my toys as a kid. 2. I’ve never given my rivals a strange name. Usually, I’d just pick one from the list when it was an option. 3. I’ve laughed at the problems people have said they’ve had with the games, but I’ve never had a bad thing to say myself. Maybe because I’ve never experienced anything so upsetting that I’d find a need to complain about it. Other than the old Silver game erasing my data if I was away for longer than expected, the worst I’ve experienced is lag when it comes to gameplay. 4. Never been bothered by the idea of another Fire-Fighting starter. 5. In Pokémon Stadium, if you named your Pokémon, from the Gameboy games, they could be a different color than normal. If this counted as a shiny, then, the red Gyarados wasn’t my first shiny. 6. The underground and hideout aspects of the games never interested me. So, I’ve never decorated a hideout or had a wall collapse on me. I just didn’t bother utilizing them more than how you are made to initially. 7. I never even thought of starting a card collection.
