I would say Sterling is lucky to be playing for Pep. He certainly has improved for the liverpool days. But I cant shake this feeling that he has gone back to that shell of liverpool days. 2 seasons ago he was scoring goals like he was giving out Candy. But let's look deeper and analyse those goals. Most of those goals were tap ins ( I'm sure somebody else would beg to differ). Dribbling he is great, running or doing runs he is great, but all that does not convert into goal. To be honest is I was a coach, i would play him on my team but i am sure the is a reason why Pep plays him week on week out. And that reason is, he does mind much him not scoring ( even though he wants him too). His sole role is to keep the defenders busy and tire them out with his speed. I might be wrong with my analysis, but that's how I see it. I dont even trust him to shoot outside the box, all his long shots go over the bar.

Need a team salary cap. At present, wins and losses are determined by how rich your owner is. It’s dumb. Just make it a max of $125M per team. Big clubs will still have an advantage but it’d be more competitive. As an American, the current system makes no sense. It kills competition.

Sterling has been too consistent over a long period which in my books makes you are a great player. Would Sterling make a world xl or even squad, probably not but no one can take anything away from how good he's been. Borderline world class is about right but not far off.

To me, world class should either mean you start for every team in the world or at least you’re in the best 2 or 3 players in your position in the world. Sterling is clearly not world class and doesn’t even get into Man City’s starting xi.
