If you want to go back to school, do it! I did three years ago and graduated last year with my Bachelor in Science at the age of 40!!! And the craziest part is I graduated at the top of my class!!! Once you have a mindset of wanting to go back to school, you’ll be surprised how well you’ll do in school. It is a commitment! I went back because I wanted to incorporate psychology with health/ fitness/ nutrition. I got deep into fitness and nutrition before I went to school because I realize how it was a big game changer in my lifestyle. I try to go natural with my medicine. Medicine from the doctor for me is a very last resort!

Hey Lauren. So, full honesty, your videos were a little triggering to me when i first stumbled upon them on FB because youre so unabashedly honest and give people so much of your truth and your life. That was scary to me! I recently hopped off FB and instagram long-term because I tend to scroll mindlessly and waste a lot of time, but i kept watching your videos on KZbin. You are so funny, so real and just amazing. Im 35, single mama, and Im finishing up my first semester of undergrad school for psych. Same as you...I had a whole lot of lived experience and now i really feel like i can help people. I think you might be great in Functional Medicine or as a naturopath! Also, your vidoes helped me work up the nerve to take my first shot of wegovy today! No matter what path you choose, please know that what yourd doing now is making a major impact. Addiction thrives in the darkness and doesnt want exposure. Your fearlessness and emotional generosity are bringing it into the light where recovery is possible.

Since you mentioned genetics being involved … we found out a few years ago that our family (3 generations, at least) carries Fragile X, the only known genetic cause of autism. We only discovered this after the 3rd generation had more neuro divergent children than neuro typical. Fragile X varies in severity, but a cousin had a son with a very severe case which triggered the genetic testing. Once they discovered this, we all got tested and were able to trace it back to our grandma. Just thought I’d share since you mentioned it.

Autism is very often genetic, so many families have multiple children who are autistic and multiple generations of relatives who are diagnosed later in life.

@@powderandpaint14agreed. Knowing all the things I now know about autism, there are MANY people in my family who are autistic, myself and my 2 boys included. For us, it doesn’t yet show up on genetic testing but it’s so obviously genetic.
@adgttu7 ай бұрын
@@powderandpaint14 to clarify, I meant specific dna marker identified. At least that what the genetic specialist involved told our family. I think they have knowledge that genetics plays a role, but not necessarily know the individual gene responsible. As I was done having children, my sister and cousins have been able to tell whether the child in utero will be born with the specific genetic mutation, along with the mutation repeats to determine the severity of case (being just a carrier of the gene or having true Fragile X Syndrome). This has helped for delivery of the baby as they can have not only cognitive disabilities but physical disabilities as well.

1. Your allergy symptoms might be worse due to pathogen die-off from your detox. 2. Those of us who are autistic due to genetic issues also don't have self-regulating digestive/immune/detox pathways. Anyone who tells you NOT to do something you and your doctors agree on is also coming dangerously close to practicing medicine without a license. That's offensive. 3.
