Great video. I'm glad you mentioned certain systems and adhesives where you can swim, ride in a convertible, etc. Haven't worn a system yet but I'm just practicing at home with different adhesives. I was so frustrated with the glue that I just assumed I would have to use tape but for the life of me I can't get the tape to stick down in front

Hey man! The adhesive is very personal to each of us. What is good for one may not be for the other. Tape in the front will never give a great invisible hairline. Peace man!

*I preface my comments with the caveat that I have no direct experience with the product you wear and this is no more than* *my opinion having worn hair systems for 50+ years. Most of this is probably off-topic but maybe someone will glean* *something useful from this.* In terms of inherent manufacturing inconsistencies that affects repeatability when ordering and receiving a system, Rick, color is the #1 issue and #2 would be shape of the system and #3 would be density. #1 and #3 sometimes have a combined issue when percentages of color are added to targeted areas such as temples, sides, top and back, especially with gray but can be any color. For lace systems there's also the problem with bleached knots. Lately I've been ordering my systems (not from Super) and they are coming in without bleached knots. This is yet one more thing under the heading of manufacturing inconsistencies. *When I say color I mean the base color of the system can be off and of course if you specify percentages of varying colors of hair throughout the system, as I do, then you really have to manage your expectations.* There was a time when one could buy a system and have these corrections made by a local seller. In the late 90's and early 2000's I was wearing systems from a Guy in California named Farrell. I would order a system from his factory (yes he had his own in Mexico) and each system would come to me very consistent with little adjustments. The ventilator of these lace systems (the woman that did mine) was Anita and so each system I ordered was ventilated by Anita. If there was any adjustment to be made most of the time I could have it done at the time of the cut-in or come back after the changes were made. Can't do that anymore however, what you see when you open the box is pretty much what you're stuck with, especially with POLY systems. These days the person in China that makes your system is likely a different gal/fellow each time you order and that in of itself makes the system prone to repeatability issues. Ventilating a lace system or injecting a POLY system is a skill and it involves subjective "tastes" that each factory person acquires and applies differently. One person's 20% Gray, or other color, at the temples will vary in mix/density (20%) and will begin and end where that particular person believes it should. *No two would ever produce the same results.* Over the years I've had systems come to me that would literally change color the first time I washed them in the sink ( this is a quality issue I never had with Farell). I could see the color float away and down the drain, LOL. Rarely, if ever, do I get a system that's near the color is that I ordered. This is why I still wear lace because I can correct these issues (I taught myself to ventilate) and I know what products I can use to correct base color issues without staining the lace, etc. I don't expect the average user to acquire these skills but I put it out there for those that might want to seek that kind of help from a pro. Now, I should say I wear lace systems. With lace systems a good number of issues can be corrected by an experienced wearer whereby the vast number of issues with a POLY systems cannot. I could go on a few more paragraphs but this post is too long as it is now. It's important for new users to manage their expectations on reorders because as you already know, the repeatability from old to new isn't where it should be.

Are you familiar with red liner tape? If not, red liner tape Is a very mild one-sided tape that can be used on the back of a thin skin system. The purpose of it is to apply the red liner tape to the back of the system, then a strong hold double sided tape can be put on top of it, since the RLT has a mild hold, it's easy to remove.less chance of tearing That's a method some 'hair restoration clinics ' use. Also, for anyone that does a full bond with ghost bond, there's a product I believe from prolabs called "ghost buster" that's made for ghost bond removal

Good point; since I like to wash weekly; I use Got2b which washes off with warm water. but as most know, humidity and sweat will break it down - and recent visits to Thailand as well as hot summers here in Atlanta - I need to use the red liner tape plus ghost bond (or walker clear glue which is easier to clean up).

Would it be more difficult to install the hair system if I had a hair transplant on my front hairline a few inches back so my hairline is very natural? What problems wo uld or could I run into? I have extremely oily skin and my hairline doesn't last as long.
