I agree! I always liked low-rise jeans and have hated every minute of the high-rise nonsense. I can deal with mid-rise but that's my limit. Luckily, I've been able to keep wearing old regular rise pants and haven't had to resort to wearing anything higher rise than I like, but if the waist band is at my belly button, it bothers me constantly and anything higher I just want to die and not even wear pants....plus they're SUPER unflattering on my body. So I'm happy as well....I just think we can all agree that the super low rise should stay in the past. My 37-year old self doesn't need my pubic bone to be making any appearances in public.

I hope they just keep offering every type of jean out there because our bodies are all different. I hated the low waisted jean because of my straight athletic body with narrow hips - believe me when I say, no bueno! When the high waisted came in, I was finally able to keep my jeans up.

As a short-waisted person, low waist pants actually are regular waisted pants on me. Mid-and high-waist pants are on my ribs or practically my boobs. It just all depends on your body.

My body is naturally "short-waisted" so low rise jeans don't bother me at all. They fit me fine coming all the way up to my natural waist. :)

When I finally got in my 20s and learned to embrace the high waisted jeans and finally NEVER had to stop pulling up my pants bc my butt was hanging out It's even worse for those of us with booties! Embrace the high waisted jeans girls!

I can never have too many books. Regarding athlesure or loungewear, I’ll admit that I go overboard on pajamas and loungewear. My grandkids call me Pajama Grandma. I just barely ordered another set online. I have well over 100 sets that are nearly new. Kate Spade is my favorite. My favorite is a pair of pjs with books all over them. Should have seen my husband’s face when I wore them the first time. He looked flummoxed. Books and pajamas together? It was too much! And the boxes sitting in my office that I forgot to send back? We had to make a trail through it to get to the window a couple of weeks ago.

I adore low rise jeans! I've always hated any pants near my belly button, it's just always bugged me from the time I was little. I did whatever I could to keep the waistband lower. Was it because of my umbilical hernia as a baby, maybe, but probably not. Our youngest daughter had an umbilical hernia as well and she wears high waisted jeans with no problem. 😊 (Yes, both of our hernias healed when we were babies.)

I didn't wear low rise jeans back in the 90's (as a late stage boomer, I never were on the fad's radar), and I'm definitely not wearing them now that they're "back in". It's mid rise for me when it comes to jeans and/or pants. As for "Whale Tail", as someone you couldn't pay to wear a thong I would not deal with that. That said these low rise jeans wearers could end up dealing with "Muffin Top" (i.e. a roll of belly fat poking out over low rise jeans). I'm less heavy than I was back in the 90's, but I'm not super skinny either. I'm just glad that I'm in a demographic where the latest clothing fad can become popular without my help.

I'm a xennial and I love low-wasted jeans. I can't wear high-rise at all. It just doesn't fit my body shape. I'm thin but have a short torso. Also, mid- and high-rise always make me feel like I'm suffocating even if I size up. I really have no idea how anyone thinks those are comfortable. Also: why can't we just have ALL kinds of jeans so everyone can pick what they like?

Mid-rise jeans sit at the top of my hips, that's how. I find low-rise uncomfortable because the crotch hangs too low, I have to wear a tight belt, and I have to be careful when crouching or bending over. I agree with your last sentence!

I could actually use jeans that are "high-waisted" but hear me out, only a little higher than mid-rise jeans. I do a lot of bending as a retail merchandiser and the higher back could do my butt good but I don't wanna be wearing 80s mom jeans that go halfway up my torso. That said I prefer mid-rise jeans to low-rise, ultra low-rise, and definitely high-waisted 80s mom jeans
