I love the Irish accent and would appreciate the conversation with an Irish native! 🙂 I find the Irish accent very attractive and captivating and appreciate the tonality and pronunciation of their words… I’ve heard the common stereotype pronunciations of the Irish, I wouldn’t dream of asking someone to say those things… People aren’t meant to entertain based on accent or culture.. All of my late Mum's side are Irish. Recently found out going back 110 yrs my late fathers ancestors were Irish too. I was born in Canada, my given name is Siobhan Deirdre. In Gr. 1 there was a terrifying Nun, Sister Margaret, I swear she floated, never a sound, till that damn yard stick ruler hit the desk. If it suited her we had to print our 1st name 20x before recess. I sat between a "Sue" and a "Tim". It was a miracle I saw the light of day. Another Nun suggested I do my middle name Deirdre. To this day, 55yrs old, I get it mispronounced weekly. People have suggested "shortening it" to what exactly?? I love it when people try to "school" me on my own name. 🤣
