I was out with one of my homegirls and she's Sikh and one time this lady asked her if she was Muslim and she tells the lady no. Sure enough, the lady was like "Are you sure? You just look like one of them, so are you?" Looool my friend just simply said "Are you ignorant?" The lady had the audacity to get annoyed and made a huge scene. She said no she wasn't ignorant and then my friend just asked her "Are you sure? Cause you look like it." What's even funnier is the lady said my friend had some nerve assuming what she was based on her looks. . . the irony.

It’s so unfair they experience prejudice and racism, especially in the wake of everything, but as shown here they don’t let it drag them down. I'm sure you can. The "Langar"( I think thats right, I'm not really a sikh, just born from the heritage.) is intended to be a feeding hall for anyone, male, women, sikhs, non sikhs, whites, blacks etc etc etc. The friend and the enemy can even eat there. If you walk in, just take off your shoes, cover your head (there are clothes supplied for those without) and go get a tray thing and fill it with whatever you want, eat as much as you want and if you ask to take some, they'll let you. Everyone who works there does it voluntarily. If you are ever poor/homeless/hungry... Go to a gurduwara(sikh temple) and help yourself to whatever you want. They will never ever turn you down.

All gurduwara(sikh temple) have a food hall, called the Langar or Langur or something. They will give food to anyone of any gender, creed, colour, race, etc. You can walk in as a white, gay, disabled, religion hating male and they will happily feed you, no charge, no obligation. I am Spanish and here in Spain what I very much like about most Sikhs is that they treat women equally and that Sikh girls work outside from home and are hard working and kind, regardless of the nationality of others. I once visited a Sikh Temple on a tourist journey to India and it was so nice to see how much they cared for others giving them food,...I think that some people just lack the knowledge and they need a kind explanation about Sikhism to appreciate it more. About racist people who want to send them "home" as a young girl one of the nicest things I recall when I reached London for the first time was seeing a Sikh worker at the airport being welcoming, smiling and waving his hand saying hello. It actually pisses me off when I see other people greet someone and ask what religion they are and then judge them by their answer. Who cares what religion the person is that's their own thing and they are still human beings first so treat them like one instead of making assumptions before you fully understand them and their religions

KESARI - This is a great movie, based on an incredible true story of the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans in 1897. They fought to the last man, asking and giving no quarter. This is filmed in a beautiful land. The battle was fought at Saragarhi, a small village at border district of Kohat, situated on the Samna Range, in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa (previously Northwest Frontier Provience) present-day Pakistan. It is filmed in Hindi, and I did not understand but a few words that were spoken in English, but knowing the story of the battle it was easy to enjoy this great movie. It has great videography, special effects, and acting. In my opinion this would be worthy of several Academy Awards. The lead actor was phenomenal These are my opinions.....feel free to make them your own.

Sikh's are . . . I have no worlds that can say how amazing they are. Im not religiose my self but Sikh's have always been kind to me and everyone here in Canada. When I was homeless, I was a ghost to everyone but a Sikh would see me and give me food. He never said a word to me though. He would just show up, give me food and sometimes cloths, Smile and walk away. Almost as if it was his job to do this for me. I would say Thank you it was almost as if he ignored it and continued to get stuff out of his bag for me. THEN when i got back on my feet I found him working in a Phone store and I said hello and asked if he remembered me. He said Yes, With a big smile and Nothing more. I do not think He wanted my Thanks. He was just doing good and that was it. In this cold world I had never seen this type of person before. SOmeone who just did good things just because. He did not want a parade, He did not want to be a Hero. He just did it. So I make sure to respect the Sikh people and I try my best not to bother them because I feel like what ever they are doing is bigger than I could ever understand.

Thank you and also help us to get justice for 1984 Sikh genocide, where thousands of Sikhs were murdered. Pressurize the government in India to deliver justice fast as it has been more than 30 years and still no sign of justice for Sikhs.

@@tomswayer4226 bro nowadays we Indians are busy in Hindu Muslim fights. And our leaders are still doing the same what they did in 84. Foot dalo sashan karo.
