1. Scalpers bying 20-30 samples of the same casting, not for doing customs, but to make a living from selling them on Ebay. 2. Opening up a car, only to find out that it has messed up tampos / paint on the side you _cannot_ see.

i hate hoarder scalpers and collectors who collect for the sake of selling at rediculously hi prices so issue like bend cards etc is non factor for true collectors because we collect for the sake of collecting and nothing else

Not true. Some things actually have sentimental value. If you don't like something, what's the point of keeping it? "Collecting just to collect" really just means you're gonna sell it all one day, anyway. It's about quality. Quantity is just about hoarding as many cheap cars as possible and claiming to be "a collector".

The scratches part got me the most. I was gonna get the new Exotics 5-pack with the Gallardo Superleggera, and I got a different "version" of the 5-pack since the Lambo had an error, I can't remember if it was a scratch or not.

things that annoy me as a collector why did you open that car, do you know how much is going to be worth in the future? And it’s a mainline LOL all of the hype, that is given to a specific model when it first comes out, like the Bugatti for instants right now, I just wait for the hype to die down and, diecast snobs, the ones who collect nothing but, premium stuff and who keep it carded, I forgot to add, another thing that annoys me is, collectors who don’t play with their cars, and who are scared of it getting scratched, I store all my loose castings, I don’t have none that are carded, I store them all in a ben, so they’re destined to get scratched and have a lot of play where,

Getting a car and taking it home and noticing the paint is chipped is my #1...then I go to the store and hope to find another one. And that's chipped too. Repeat until I've ended up spending $10 on a mainline just to get one that looks good :(

the worst is go to the store and found repacked cars that have been return and swap out for cheaper models. Exemple : a M2 machines swap with a mainline hot wheels or a car culture with a chinese car, etc

0:14 i understand your pain, 3 weeks ago i got the GT LM from the first mistery models from 2018, it's really beautiful car with a cool wraps and black mate paint and i wanted to conser. But one week ago accidentally it fells from the table, i though it had not suffered damage. But today i discovered one of the canards it had a scratch caused by that fall.

Literally happened to me a few days ago with the crease. As you know, i have some cars hung up for display. However one flaw of that is that overtime, the card starts to bend forward like a *(* shape. there was a ford mustang gt (of all cars eh haha) that was bent forward too much, i took it out to try to bend it back to its original form and i accidentally put too much force on bending it... N Now the card has a very obvious crease line cut right through the middle T.T

Yes! That bended card! Do you know how frustating is this for unloose collector like me to have a decent car and decent card? When I'm finally found a nice car, the card isn't good. If it's not bended, the card are just like pages at the corner. Then when I found a nice car and near perfect looking card and when I'm gonna pay for it, the cashier put it at thr bottom of my groceries. FML

For me it's getting to the hot wheels section and one guy has every good car in his cart. It's the SCALPERS in store that make me not like collecting hot wheels. I think of these people are really poor or have no futures and need the money so I forgive them but such losers.

the selling part. that annoys me a bit where the seller ask for high price (i'm not in that circle yet damnit) and ends up telling me about the value from the ebay, i say thanks for the offer, i'm good or i'll let you know when i want. it makes sense for some cars but not all. and i dont care about the value ok!!!!!

Took my bros hotwheels out of the packaging while he was at work / I was 10 at the time & I decided to do some special customising like .. throwing them into a tin of paint / burying them in the sand pit & running my monster trucks & feet over them 🤣he's still hot about it 20 years later 🤭😬 although he did ( accidentally) drop my Gibson guitar 🎸 down the stairs lol

As a person who collects hot wheels as a kid (I sometimes do it nowadays) I find the opening cars part true. Mattel used some shitty glue to put it all together and I still open it with my bare hands (like with the rare short card version of the minion pig car I got) even though I know about the nail polish remover technique yesterday a day before I got the minion pig car…makes me appreciate that the some Premium cars has boxes sometimes
