Dan often find some real bargains for budget travellers in his videos. It seems to me that Cabarete doesnt fit so well in his places, as it is not exactly a budget place. It is an expat spot toghether with Sosua and thatßs why it is pricy for that region. Puerto Plata would fit much more, it has more to offer and is cheaper. There are real bargain restaurants at the beach, complete meals, with delicious german saussages for about 4 usd. 3-Star-Pool hotels for usd 20 near the beach. Great nightlife

True. Our friend was a vacationer instead of a year round traveler. So he wanted to live it up while he was in town and we rented in the same complex to be near him. :-)
